Twitter Hashtag #Donetsk has gotten busy in the last hour, especially after this Tweet from a UK blogger stating that the media was gathering, on rumor that the storming of the Donetsk Barricades was imminent.
UStream live feed from the Donetsk Barricades. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/artem77?utm_campaign=t.co&utm_source=ustre.am%2F1b876&utm_medium=social&utm_content=20140409121554 Has been up for a while, but down the last 5 minutes.
Several recent tweets about "Blackwater mercenaries being seen around/in Donetsk.
Euromaidan PR tweets: "Rossiya 24 TV channel illegally broadcast by Donetsk administration captured by separatists."
Acting President Turchynov orders to take Donetsk RSA under state security
Numerous Twitter reports and Videos of Ukrainian troops, including heavy artillery and tanks, escorted by police, moving near Donetsk, at last report about 10k outside of the city. Local Civilians are impeding them by walking in the way, or having cars 'breakdown" on the roads.
"There are reports on social media this morning about how pro-Russian residents of Kharkiv stormed the Opera, thinking that it was the town hall, and demanded that the mayor come out. It's very surprising that these so-called residents of Kharkiv would think that the Opera was the town hall."

Ukraine would do well to capture some of these "residents" and prove their identity, if possible.
>> False. PRO-RUSSIANS who want Ukraine to lose its independence have been punished for their disloyalty to the country to which they hold citizenship. We would do no less here in a similar situation. <<
What a steaming, smelly, urine-soaked pile of crap! If we took to the streets to beat dissidents and anti-Americans, we would never have elected people like Obama and Carter.
I doubt it. Most Ukrainians are going about their business. Part of the Russian disinformation is to portray the provocateurs as a massive demonstration and indicate a high probability of bloodshed. The Kharkiv admin building was taken by Ukrainian police recently with no bloodshed. What isn’t being shown is the pro-Ukraine demonstrations have been at least 10X the size of ones staged by the provocateurs.
FWIW, Ukraine has moved large numbers of the military toward the borders. That includes at least one train that was videoed hauling tanks south into Kharkiv oblast towards the Crimea. The Ukrainians are doing the right thing by ringing the airports. That stops a favorite strategy of the Russians.
It can be accepted as axiomatic truth that whatever side McCain and 0bastard take, is the very wrong side.
People were paid to “protest” at the Maidan. Not pro-Russians. This was common knowledge for a long time.
Absolutely we should stay out of it. We’d be coming in years late and billions short. The time to to be resolute on the world stage is when you can back it up with superior firepower. Obama gave that option away. Now he just talks tough but carries a limp stick. McCain is the same way. All mouth.
No, not really. Knee-jerk reactions are just that.
Amazing that some people on FR accept without question the position of McCain, 0bastard and the EU spokesholes.
Just not right away, and likely not in my lifetime.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told the Diet that Japan needs to "consider acquiring the means to hit enemy bases in accordance with the changing international political situation."
I remember RT reporting it . . . and showing protesters at a pro-Russia rally. Funny.
Double BINGO.
Easy to call for violence when it isnt you and yours doing the dying, isnt it?
Exactly so. “Let’s you and him fight”.
Oh, emphasis mine. And a link (tho’ the quote has been widely reported.)

I have heard no tough talk from Obama. Not in my book, anyway. McCain maybe, but obviously he is in no position to deliver anything but his own vote.
Keep repeating that, you may get somebody to believe you.
That would not surprise me, but, evidence / links please?
That stops a favorite strategy of the Russians.
Yes, the Ukrainians should know well...
The Kharkiv admin building was taken by Ukrainian police recently with no bloodshed.
A task rendered easy since many of the demonstrating pro-Russian "residents" were still over at the Opera, I suppose...
Anybody who attacks a Russian fascist is automatically neo-nazi. Right, vatnik? Not to mention one who dares to speak native language - that must be foreign agent - pravilno?
“What a steaming, smelly, urine-soaked pile of crap! If we took to the streets to beat dissidents and anti-Americans, we would never have elected people like Obama and Carter.”
Our failure to do what is right does not mean the Ukrainians are wrong to do it.
