NBC asks viewers for better sitcom ideas

I can’t remember the names, the actress who played the oldest daughter is a fading starlet. The parents were played by people who had roles in Star Trek I and Star Trek IV respectively.

Yeah, I only watched Newhart in syndication for some reason, and wound up missing the finale because I gradually lost interest in the show — but I found the entire final episode (as well as some highlights) on YouTube onetime. Having Suzanne Pleschette come back for that was perfect.

A plane load of democrat congressmen crash lands on a desert island and they have to se their “wits and ingenuity” to survive. Two episodes later the ones who haven’t been killed and eaten die from stupid jackass-style accidents.

That reminds me of the SNL skit "Wake Up And Smile!", wherein a teleprompter failure turns a morning news show into The Lord Of The Flies:
