Last year, 476,000 new businesses were created each month, mostly in the construction and services industries,

I’d like to see a breakdown by state and county of this number please.

It seems logical to me. There are a finite number of people.

As the people either get jobs from others or make jobs themselves, the number of people without jobs declines.

Since most are not able or willing to take the leap into business it stands to reason that the gross number of people starting new businesses will not continue to grow at the rate when unemployment was at peak numbers. My thought is the numbers are substantial, especially among older men and students

Un mentioned are the number of people in service businesses that deal in cash and are off the grid.

Pelosi: Unemployment Checks Fastest Way to Create Jobs

Unemployment benefits are creating jobs faster than practically any other program, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday.

maybe Pelosi wrote this article.

Wha..? Liberals don’t need to prove stuff, they just need to say stuff. It’s up to us to prove or disprove their statements. Of course, by the time we get to it, a couple million ignorant people have already heard their version from the coordinated liberal media, so the actual truth ends up looking like sour grapes.

mostly in the construction and services industries

Not familiar with the other fields, but during slow periods in construction every laid-off guy starts doing pick-up jobs as he can, which is a kind of "new business." Some of these will stay "in business" after construction picks up, but most will go back to work for somebody else

Personally, I think those of us who are self-employed ought to get a tax break for leaving job open for someone else.

Just kidding. Actually, there should be no tax breaks because there should be no income tax.

“As more and more Americans find jobs...”

Bullsh*t from Obama’s thoroughly tamed and domesticated pep squad, i.e., the mainstream press.

How about this?
"People are not attempting the American Dream of starting their own business because the government makes it impossible, so they find jobs instead."

Oh wait, that headline is for the next Republican administration.

For now, we'll use this one:
"With so many high paying good jobs available in this recovery BOOM created by our Dear Saviour Obama, people don't need to start new businesses."
There that headline will do for our Holy One.
