Good Morning Kathy...it's been awhile since visiting here....I need to come more often and gather around with you folks. Enjoyed reading the thread and very happy to see some are not "kitchen people"...... When the mood strikes me to bake or cook something I know if I stand there long enough it will pass.... Especially when I imagine the mess to clean up after! I'm a messy cook....more on me than in the pans!
I do buy those cooked chickens....throw on some great potatoes, (I learned how to cook from a 5-star Rest. Chef) and a veg. and I'm good.... Ice cream with warmed syrup for dessert and I'm a happy camper!
I'd love to know how to cook with wine....I had a marvelous steak, as a guest, learning the cook used wine. When I tired it with a roast, oh it was nasty!

I wish you the best of luck with the shots. I did have this treatment about 4-5 years ago, and although it didn't work for me...the steroid shots in each knee every three months does work. Previously, I had a rude, nasty ortho surgeon MD who said he wasn’t going to give me any more steroid shots, and that I must have the knee replacement surgery on one knee, before he even checked my medical folder to find that I couldn't have any pain killers with asprin, which I would receive during post-op for physical therapy sessions. I walked out of his office and found another ortho surgeon MD, who was patient, reviewed all my records, (he was the MD who told me about the post op PT, and that I would not be a good candidate for the surgery), and said let's try the steroid shot. And, sure enough, the shots continue to work. Second opinions are advisable. God bless.

Don’t need to take the quiz to know the answer to this one: cook. I’m pretty handy in the kitchen, and even worked as a fill-in line cook in a friend’s restaurant a time or two.
A baker, however, I am not. I like to wing it and experiment when I cook. That does not lend itself well to baking, I’ve found. If a bread recipe calls for 3 1/2 cups of bread this time, it will be that way every single time. That sort of thing. Most of my baked goods end up looking like something that would have been served in a POW camp. Biscuits and soda bread are about as advanced as I can safely get.

Good evening, DemforBush...being one or the other seems to be a trend.
Ya gotta be pretty handy if you are able to hold your own in a restaurant. Good for you!!

So what shape was the bird in? Did you have to dispose of the body or catch it and put it out?

So what shape was the bird in? Did you have to dispose of the body or catch it and put it out?It was sitting on the blinds in the kitchen after it had gotten away from the cat. Cat was on the kitchen table when I went to get another cup of coffee. It flew away when I tossed it outside.
