In a recent interview with the Tampa Bay Times at the U.S. Capitol, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said that potential 2016 presidential candidate Jeb. Bush (R) is the smartest guy I know on education.
McCain reportedly told the Times that he spoke with the former Florida governor a couple weeks ago about education policy.
Despite labeling Jeb Bush the most astute person he knows when it comes to education, McCain deflected when asked if Bushs support for the Common Core could be an issue.
What he did for education in Florida thats a clear record of success, he stated.
The Times asked, Is he a viable candidate for president, theres a lot of question about the fact that ?
Completing the question himself, McCain said, That his name is Bush? Then he added, Somebody elses name is Clinton.

With an endorsement from McCain in print, all Jeb needs is Romney to back him.
Jeb to John: “Uh, thanks.”
You need to get out of the Senate and broaden your pool of people there John.
No Jeb. No Christie. No Romney...
NO RINO’S.
Well, that’s all the f- I need to hear. How soon can I vote for him?
Good, let him be the Sect. of Education as we shut it down and send the money directly to the states.
It is really too bad, however, that no one in his family went to McCain, when his brain deteriorated to a level only slightly higher than it is at present, to persuade him to retire gracefully.
Oh goody. The liberal republican circle jerk begins. I already see President Hillary Clinton. Why go liberal light when you can go hard core progressive with Hillary? What is Jeb going to do? “I’ll give you free stuff just not as much as Hillary”
Way to go GOP
I repeat my statement from yesterday.
It’s like America took a giant dump and these people are the by-product.
But instead of flushing them we make them leaders????
If a guy who supports "Common Core" is the "smartest guy you know on education, Juan, then you need a new set of acquaintences.
It is absolutely essential for the next President to recognize the damage that public education has done/is doing to this country -- and to have some idea about how to reverse it.
And, obviously, that ain't Jeb. Nor, for that matter, Juan.
I suppose his daughter is the second smartest
That sound like a basis for an eventual endorsement.
Jeb clearly underestimated the wickedness of the opposition in regard to Terri Schiavo. He’s too naive to be President.
McCain is the swarmiest guy I know in politics. The ultimate RINO GOPe stooge.

Military training issues aside, since the states have never delegated to Congress, via the Constitution, the specific power to legislatively address intrastate schooling issues, Sen. McCain can do the following. He can lead Congress to propose an education amendment to the Constitution to the states which will grant Congress the specific power that it needs to address such issues.
And if the states then choose to ratify McCain's education amendment then McCain will be a hero and Congress will have the constitutional authority that it needs to legislatively implement Jeb Bush's educational policies.
What about ancient Navy fighter pilots? I keep checking, but he isn't fading.--It is past time.
vaudine
Easy math here.
Pot=kettle=BO
But instead of flushing them we make them leaders????
You have wildly unrealistic expectations and can expect a lot of disppointment.
They're pretty typical politicians -- not better or worse than what we always get.
Oh, boy. The mutual adoration society of RINOs has met.
