Yes. Played the Bass for four hour-long lessons in a row.
What was surprising is that I listen to the car radio in between, and heard just a tiny bit about it on the way home. The talk shows are recorded earlier, i guess, but I am surprised they were not interrupted by this devastating news.

Aloha Night Owl! ((HUGS))
Please forgive my silence.....but all the news lately has been disheartening.

Good evening to you.
I suppose that is part of the detritus, flotsam, and jetsam, left over from D-Day.

My Flag Flies at Half-Staff Tonight...
My heart is extremely heavy as the facts begin to be released concerning the shooting at Ft. Hood, near Killeen, Texas. God rest the souls of the innocents who perished, and God be with their families.....and with the wounded and their families. Lord be with all our military heroes!
I'm not even going to speculate or discuss the shooter. He doesn't deserve our time or attention.

It’s not just there, Connie. I asked my son and he said it was the way on all bases.
Stupid.

Have they ever figured out the motives of the shooter? I can remember a tragedy at Ft. Hood way back in 1979. Several soldiers drowned in a nearby lake. I worked for the Social Security Administration in Dallas at the time. I had just been hired and was in a training group. We had to process all the soldiers claims with their families. Really a sad time.

Luvie I just don’t understand. We trust them to defend our country & way of life but not themselves on US soil?!
I’ll shut up now.
Thanks as always to your Son for his service!

All under whose watch? He hasn’t a clue....but I think he doesn’t care.
Twice at the same post is unforgivable!! Well, they are all unforgivable, but this doubly so, regardless of who or why.
