Madonna has detailed how she was raped not long after she moved to New York City at the age of 19, in a revealing account of her life to date.
In an article for Harper's Bazaar magazine, the singer said she was forced on to the roof of a building at knifepoint and attacked. The first-person account, which accompanied a fashion shoot, spans Madonna's life from growing up in the US midwest and moving away from home, to her marriages and children.
"New York wasn't everything I thought it would be. It did not welcome me with open arms. The first year, I was held up at gunpoint. Raped on the roof of a building I was dragged up to with a knife in my back, and had my apartment broken into three times. I don't know why; I had nothing of value after they took my radio the first time," she wrote.

I wonder if it is even true.
Good point.
Dear Madonna
Thank you for ruining music.
The Management
I have Madonna fatigue. I honestly don’t give a blank about anything she has to say.
Wow, and she didn’t even go to Harvard.
Dear Ms. Ciccone: Not only is your gov't not all that into you, NYC doesn't give a kr@p about anybody.
My buddy went to hs with her in Motown (Rochester).
Her first claim to fame was a very racy dance number in the school talent show.
Is there a famous woman anywhere in the United States, black or white, that wasn’t raped by a stranger or family member ay sometime in her life??? Or abused in anyway by a family member or stranger?
They wait until they are almost out of the spotlight and confess that such a horrible thing happened to them years ago.
This is not a laughing matter, but a fatigue can develop when every famous woman claims this.
She was quite the dish when she was very young.....
She attended the “Harvard of the Midwest” UofM
needs attention
i wonder too, but i don’ t really care.
Timeline-wise, it was very early in her career, if true.
However, I am tending to think she is pulling an Oprah to generate some publicity for some new project in the mid-twilight of her career.
fake
Truth is relevant, but her revealing stage attire and photo shoots do not in any way excuse rape (and I suspect she is telling the truth and that this was before she dressed like that in public and before anyone recognized her). My disappointment is that she didn’t use her foul mouth and good figure as a distraction and her athleticism for leverage. Rapist plus rooftop plus gravity equals solution that would protect other women.

I don’t know... The hairy armpits never did anything for me...lol
