Regulation: The White House has released a Climate Action Plan that includes the targeting of methane emissions from cows and other barnyard animals that threaten the planet through belching and other, er, activities.
It's our lust for cheeseburgers that's dooming the planet through climate change, the Obama administration said in a Climate Action Plan released Friday that seeks to save us all from ruminant livestock.
Having already blamed the Industrial Revolution for what we used to call weather and temperatures that have flat-lined for 15 years, the White House is now targeting American agriculture abundance by slashing methane emissions from cows by 25% by 2020.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the "special digestive systems" of "ruminant livestock" such as cattle, sheep, buffalo, and goats produce methane, a more potent "greenhouse gas" than even the carbon dioxide we humans exhale or the exhaust from the SUVs we use to take the kids to soccer practice.

Over the years Barry has compared himself to Lincoln, Kennedy and other non-failures, and I recall when he thought he would be another Reagan ...
But as usual, with Obama something is lost in translation:
“If it moos, tax it. If it keeps mooing, regulate it.
And if it stops mooing, subsidize it ... “
Let me decode for everyone. By “regulate farm animal methane” the obama regime means American taxpayers will have to “pony up” a few more trillion dollars to make things “normal.”
Conservative group sues EPA over its IRS-like tactics
I doubt seriously that Moochelle will pay.
I hereby call for a Million-Cow March in Washington DC
on
July 15, 2014, Cow Appreciation Day-
Go out and give a cow a hug!
And I can only say:
STAMPEDE!!!
“This is about getting rid of beef.”
They are also talking about regulating the release of methane in the oilfields.
With livestock it will probably be a “methane tax”.
With the oilfield it will probably be capturing the gas vented through the tanks, which will mean untold number (most oil wells) of wells will have to be plugged because it will be cost prohibitive to capture the gas and you can no longer flare the gas.
I’m sure someone will figure out a “methane tax” paid by those EVIL oil producers to battle “climate change” will solve the problem and they won’t have to plug their wells.
Now there’s a job suitable for government workers - monitoring cow farts and sniffing out the worst ones.
well, sticking catalytic converters up cows’ asses
would seem to be a job
he might be able to handle.....
it sure would be good all around if we could find him a job he could do.....
Elections have consequences, and the American people were apparently so incredibly insane that they elected the commie in the WH. Twice. Wonder how many dairy farmers voted for the Obamanation?
Cows contribute to global warming... this from gaseous vegans
Okay, somebody tell me how are they gonna produce GREEN COWS?.......................
Iowa........................
Looks like the right ime to introduce my greatest invention!
The bovine VRU (’cuz cattle are, apparently, scared of “butt flares” as a control device).
Well, I see there will be a lot more vegetarians here on FreeRepublic
Meat is bad.
Red meat is really bad.
But America won’t give up her meat willingly so we must nudge them and make sure they eat less.
It’s for their own good.
We can’t tax it.
The people will blame the Democrats if the price goes up, so we’ll tax the farmer on the amount of cattle he has, couched in the global climate change meme.
The farmer can raise his prices and America can blame the farmer.
So they’ll buy less and be healthier.
Hey, pass the steak. I want mine medium rare please.

Nope. We will continue to FLARE the gas and reduce the landowner payments according to the fines received.
First livestock, then humans. Why? Livestock can’t shoot back when u shove a cork up their butt.
Daniel Greenfield wrote a column last week about how the left and Eco-nuts want to undo all progress and send us backwards, this is an example of that
I’d like to know how a goat compares in methane generation to say, a hippo or elephant or a monkey.
We know this is really isn’t about domesticated livestock methane; it’s about the manure of taxing small farmers and ranchers out of business.
