The Saturn was a good car, but the problem is that they kept building the same car for a decade.
The original Saturns were good cars, when GM folded Saturn under the GM corporate structure from their original autonomy they went south in short order.

But isn’t that exactly what the Japanese, and for that matter, the German automakers do? BMW changes their car lines about once every ten years.
I think the Cobalt was based on an Opel design.
Next time you see a GM truck during the day, notice that many have just one light lit someplace. That’s not a wiring problem, it’s a software defect. It’s so frequent that many owners simply live with it.

The only people who did not know it was a lemon were the politicians and government motors execs....that is their story and they are sticking to it.
