Uh, no, that’s called a poor quality BULB. GM is notorious for the grill lights failing in short order.
2002 Chevy, and 2007 GMC. I was always replacing one of the grill lamps. Now I drive a FORD for a company truck....

That’s an interesting observation. I’ve noticed that I seem to see a lot of mostly domestic cars with one or another exterior light burned out. My 2004 Honda Accord, which I’m about to sell (bought a ‘11 Nissan Murano), still has all its original bulbs in it other than the one high beam bulb and one map light bulb which I replaced a couple of weekend ago. Honestly, I don’t know where Honda USA sourced these bulbs from that are so long-lasting, but obviously some companies are not sourcing bulbs which are as good.
