Citing Obamacare and an increase in the state’s minimum wage, the owner of Waterford-based Yankee One Dollar is closing down shop on all 23 remaining locations.

Waterford-based Yankee One Dollar stores will be gone within the next five months, its owner told the Post Star of Glens Falls. Keith Flike blamed the Affordable Care Act and the increase in the state’s minimum wage for the decision to shut down. Each store has six to 10 employees, he told the Post Star.
Yankee One Dollar has 23 stores, down from a peak of 39. The Daily Gazette reported stores at Crosstown Plaza in Schenectady and at Rotterdam Square mall would close. Yankee One Dollar also has stores at Hudson Valley Plaza in Troy and in Waterford.

Isn’t there a new dictat that you can’t say Obamacare caused you to close your business? Verboten?
The destruction of America should be considered as a change.

So now we see the dissolution of a once great country and some are surprised while others in the RAT party, the RINOs and the MSM merely ignore that fact and don’t talk about it.
Yankee One Dollar would rather close its doors than to give their workers a decent living wage and affordable healrhcare.
(That’s how democrats and Obama will spin it; they can’t ever lose the argument, or they’re done).
They have no right to tell businesses how much they must pay.
One job lost due to this illegal law should result in all that pushed it on America getting at least one year in federal prison...asap!

The only satisfaction to take from this are the employees who applauded the min wage increase, supported O-care and who voted for O. They’ll suffer as a result of their vast stupidity. Will they recognize why this happened?

But the point is, nobama is still killing small businesses and jobs.
No the employees will get unemployment and an EBT card.
And will have the same as employment but maybe a few dollars short, It’s the American way!
