Environmental Protection Agency and FBI agents raided the ammunition company USA Brass over alleged environmental violations early Thursday morning.
NBC Montana was tipped off by witnesses that federal investigators were there until at least 4 a.m. on Thursday. Federal agents could be seen going through the companys building and taking items to a truck parked outside. EPA lead criminal investigator Bert Marsden said that the agency was looking into alleged environmental violations by USA Brass.
We are investigating alleged violations of environmental law, Marsden said on Thursday. An investigation takes as long as it takes, and I cant provide any details as it relates to that.
I can make a statement that there is no immediate threat to the public or the community at this time, said Marsden.
Its unclear exactly what the environmental violations were, but USA Brass has come under fire from federal agencies before for lead exposure. USA Brass cleans and resells used ammunition casings, and NBC Montana reports that local health officials found elevated levels of lead in the blood of 22 current and former employees.
Last September, the company was fined more than $45,000 by the U.S. Labor Department for 10 serious violations. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) also found that USA Brass has overexposed workers to lead and failed to provide basic safeguards to reduce lead exposure, including breathing protection and protective clothing, reports NBC Montana. . .
When are people going to start shooting back at these goons?
A message being sent...intimidation.
With some exceptions, gun restriction laws are not getting through. Look for all kinds of more subtle ways of intimidating the firearms industry and hampering gun ownership.
Sounds like a disgruntled ex-employee and/or federal harassment. This administration is corrupt and out to dissemble America.
Good question. If/when that happens, look for the floodgates to open. Then the serious jackbooted crackdown, followed by who knows what.
You notice that they are going to chip away and harass until they eventually have their way with taking away gun rights.
They are nibbling daily. Pretty soon they won’t be nibbling, they will take big bites.
“Not sure why the EPA and FBI decided to get involved. “
Because it’s a liberal agenda item. The astonishing thing is that the FBI has in the last two weeks arrested several Democrats. Those agents are risking their careers and they know it. It’s similar to...say, the 1938 Berlin cops arrested a few Nazi party leaders.
tThe lead probably came from infant/toddler nibbling on painted wooden cribs made in China, and fishing sinkers-
Impossible to prove from whence came the lead.
I do think the government wants that. It would allow them to take some special actions. But in the end, they will be sorry.
USA Brass is causing Global Warming at the direction of George W. Bush. I am surprized that NOAA wasn’t involved in the raid as well. NASA should have paricipated to make sure Muslims were reached out to also.
That big bite will likely be more than they can chew. They will continue to nibble, it is all they can do.
Don’t be caught off guard, this nibbling is becoming more frequent.
For me, when they start to wonder whether they’ll be coming home at night is a good thing, IMO.
Instead of buying ammunition now the government is just going to steal it!
Many wastes contaminated with lead are federal hazardous wastes [over]regulated by EPA.
How many of the > 1 billion hollow-point rounds bought by the Feds have gone to the EPA?
A return to the original four federal departments would be the greatest gift this country could ever receive (along with robust term limits in all three branches, and repeal of the 17th).
Can we at least get a Tyrannical Protection Agency proposed before the next civil war starts? It’ll have to be a rush job, though.
Don’t stop there. Keep going.
Can they get any more blatant and obvious?
ahahahaha THANK YOU!
