President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia called President Obama on Friday to discuss a proposal by Mr. Obama for a diplomatic resolution to the crisis in Ukraine, and the two leaders agreed that diplomats for both countries should meet soon to discuss it, the White House said.

I wouldn’t want to be in the same room alone with Putin either. I look in his eyes, and I see KGB. That is something to be afraid of. Especially if you are a namby pampy limp-wristed metro male.
You’ve got my vote for President based on your short post alone. You could only be better.

Dibs on “Sunday morning: Russians Roll into Ukraine”...
Zero: Yes - we are mighty, but might doesn't make right so we kiss your glove.
Putin: Since the Ukraine has been abandoned by you, I think I will offer it protection from those who would do it harm by inviting it into the loving arms of the Motherland.
Zero: Uh, we didn't actually abandon them, uh we, uh, just didn't want to turn them into a war ground. Um, uh, er, that protection thing sounds pretty decent of you. Can I see your ring again?
Thanks...it was actually a conservative columnist (can’t remember who) that started me thinking in that direction, maybe Kraut. Pretty obvious now - but to today’s Dems, I think they consider re-arming no different than starting a war. I remember during the Cold War they were CONVINCED that the only reason to build nukes was to use them, even though Reagan, and then his successors, have dismantled at least 90% of the ones we built via peace treaties.
(I’m not saying I support disarming, just saying the Dems think)
Another, “3am Phone Call.”
We all know how well the LAST one went!
*Benghazi*
More like ‘Haywood Jablomi’.
I agree with Dana Roherbacher and that’s essentially what he said. Ukraine had a legitimate elected government and outside interests stirred the pot because of Russian vs EU interests. Now they want to take our gas and export it to Europe. Who do you think wins and who loses on that deal?
People also seem to forget that the first initiatives to arm the Mujahedeen and to send CIA advisors in their fight against the Soviets was initiated under the Carter administration by Brzezinski.
Screw ‘em both!
What were Putin’s terms or was the surrender unconditional?
