Republican House Speaker John Boehner will spend next weekend at a Ritz Carlton event hosted by an anti-tea party group devoted to fighting conservatives within the GOP.
Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor will be among 28 House members attending a $5,000-a-head event hosted by The Republican Main Street Partnerships advocacy group, Red State reported. Donations will reportedly go to the anti-tea party super PAC Defending Main Street, which by February had received most of its funding from labor unions.
The event will be hosted at the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island in Nassau County, Florida.
The Republican Main Street Partnership and its affiliated Main Street Advocacy group are headed by former Rep. Steve LaTourette, who has committed himself to raising money and running ads to defend centrist congressional Republican candidates from tea party primary challengers.
They have decided to systemically go against center-right Republicans in primary elections, LaTourette previously told The Daily Caller, referring to his tea party rivals. LaTourette said that tea partiers are happy to call him a RINO but that that they go apoplectic when the RINO gets a gun and fires back.
Heres the deal: we didnt start this fight, LaTourette said, but Im going to finish it.
LaTourettes efforts challenge those of conservative House members like Rep. Louie Gohmert, who recently launched his GOH Conservative PAC to fight back against establishment Republican fundraising efforts.
Gohmert criticized Boehner Thursday after the Speaker rushed a seemingly doomed bill to extend Medicare reimbursements through the House with a voice vote while many members were still in their offices instead of on the House floor. Gohmert said you need to be able to trust your own leadership.

I’ll say it again. I wasn’t overly excited when the “republicans” (not saying conservatives) won the house in 2010. I simply didn’t trust them. And they’re proving me right every day. A third party should be formed immediately. Give the rinos an opportunity to publicly side with the democrats. That’s the only chance of completely getting rid of them. Too many people simply refuse to see it.
This along with Boehner's "quickie oral vote" yesterday on doc-fix bill stinks to high heaven!
Prediction; Boehner will not be the speaker in the next congress.
Boner will feel right at home there. I fully expect this RINO traitor to ‘retire’ and get a plush position on K Street as an effing lobbyist.
His constituents should be really proud they have loosed this effing traitor on our country. Real proud. Bunch of dumb asses if you ask me.
Face Palm Alert!
How many more of these elitist slaps in the face will the conservative movement tolerate before a real conservative party emerges to challenge the established uni-party?
The future of the nation as a free country hangs in the balance.
From the RedState article linked in this article...
The Republican Main Street Partnerships offshoot Main Street Advocacy is hosting the event at the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island. Steve LaTourette, a liberal Republican former Congressman from Ohio, is the face in front of the group.
LaTourette is good friends with John Boehner. Behind the scenes, LaTourettes group is funded by the vast left-wing conspiracy. According to an email inviting people to the event, People that are attending have donated $5,000 to the PAC.
As I reported at the first of the year, LaTourettes group has received money from left leaning unions, George Soros back organizations, and a major Democrat contributor.

Follow ALL of the $$.
There are plenty of allies in the congress. They are a minority of reps, but a sizable enough chunk they are causing Boehner a lot of trouble. The crew that followed Cruz’s lead last fall are on our side.
I certainly agree with that. As far as I’m concerned now, traditional Republican is traitorous appeasement and capitulation. They are as big as, or perhaps greater than, an enemy as Democrats.
The Tea Party isn’t dead and its principles are not going to die. It may have about reached the end of its purpose though, which was to politely inform a corrupt and detached system than enough is enough, and the sun is setting on the corrupt status quo.
The TEA Party’s role was as a polite ‘cease and desist’ notice. They are ignored. Of course they are. But notice was served. Now, truly determined resistance may begin, hopefully outside of the sham uniparty system.
The fact it is at the Ritz-Carlton ( a marriott company) speaks volumes for the “stuck on stupid” rino class.
The Tea Party got them control of the house, bonehead speaker, endured boneheads tears, listened to his promise to America.
Wow if i didn’t know better I would think it was just another lie from mac daddy, but it’s not it’s just one of the old boy back stabber doing what they do best, get elected make promises and then f those who put them there.
If there is anything lower than most elected officials I have no idea what you can call them.
The event will be hosted at the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island in Nassau County, Florida.
I mean, hey, if you're going to bash your conservative base, you may as well pick a luxe resort in which to do it, just to really rub it in their faces!
If you are against that, join the American Marxist Party (fka Democrats) you POS.
Amen amen AMEN!
Once that simple fact is truly realized and EMBRACED, the real struggle will begin. Not one second before. Too many are vested in the GOP, which is simply an accomplice to their more dominant criminal partner.
I guess the Ritz hosts lots of Shitz.
TEA partiers, run also under democrat umbrella, lets cleanup both parties.
TEA-RAT and TEA-PUB power!
No, HERE'S the deal, LaTourette. We either drive the bus or we leave it. Your job is to sit back and like it.
And we NEVER forget.
This is pretty sad. To me the "tea party" represents people who believe in common sense, know that men and women are different, believe in fiscal responsibility, the sanctity of life, and that less government interference in daily life is a good thing.
What do the Establishment Republicans like Boehner believe?
