Republican House Speaker John Boehner will spend next weekend at a Ritz Carlton event hosted by an anti-tea party group devoted to fighting conservatives within the GOP.
Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor will be among 28 House members attending a $5,000-a-head event hosted by The Republican Main Street Partnerships advocacy group, Red State reported. Donations will reportedly go to the anti-tea party super PAC Defending Main Street, which by February had received most of its funding from labor unions.
The event will be hosted at the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island in Nassau County, Florida.
The Republican Main Street Partnership and its affiliated Main Street Advocacy group are headed by former Rep. Steve LaTourette, who has committed himself to raising money and running ads to defend centrist congressional Republican candidates from tea party primary challengers.
They have decided to systemically go against center-right Republicans in primary elections, LaTourette previously told The Daily Caller, referring to his tea party rivals. LaTourette said that tea partiers are happy to call him a RINO but that that they go apoplectic when the RINO gets a gun and fires back.
Heres the deal: we didnt start this fight, LaTourette said, but Im going to finish it.
LaTourettes efforts challenge those of conservative House members like Rep. Louie Gohmert, who recently launched his GOH Conservative PAC to fight back against establishment Republican fundraising efforts.
Gohmert criticized Boehner Thursday after the Speaker rushed a seemingly doomed bill to extend Medicare reimbursements through the House with a voice vote while many members were still in their offices instead of on the House floor. Gohmert said you need to be able to trust your own leadership.

Harry Reid lives at the Ritz when he is DC. Must be nice. Was he an invited guest of this group of attack GOPers?
Is the the same Ritz Harry Reid has his home at?
I sincerely hope that fellow Tea Partiers realize that our biggest enemy is the GOP. If not ... just pack it in guys and gals because the Tea Party truly is dead.
Tea Party - trying to limit the power of DC.
GOPe - content to share a small piece of an expanding power pie
Excuse me ... There are two enemies. They are equal in disdain for Conservatives. One is an entire party and the other is not an entire party.
There is only one party in Washington DC, The Government Party.
The Republican Party and the Tea Party are two completely different entities. Anyone who thinks the Tea Party can survive within the GOP is delusional. The GOP is NOT CONSERVATIVE.
The corruptocrats will not give up their place at the trough without a fight.
Other than Ted Cruz, who?
Yes, they both belly up and feed at the same trough. The Republicans just want to displace the Democrats so they can be closer to the shute when the “grain” comes out.
The Republicans play their role, like the “Washington Generals” do for the Harlem Globetrotters.
That’s funny, but an absolutely true analogy.
Sweet as ambrosia. See my tagline, and to hell with the Menshevik submissives.
Heres the deal: we didnt start this fight, LaTourette said, but Im going to finish it.

LaTourettes’ Syndrome: when one’s alligator mouth overloads one’s mosquito ass.
Little back-stabbing POS... were it not for TEA Party victories in 2010, he’d never had the chance to be the feckless, spineless, no-account SOH that he is today.
