I have 17 million reasons for wanting to increase the minimum wage. Yes, 17 millionthe number of children whose lives would be a little more secure if their moms and dads earned at least $10.10 an hour.
When I was in junior high, my daddy had a heart attack. He was home for a while, the medical bills piled up, and we lost our family station wagon.
So my mother did what she had to do: She went to work answering the phones at Sears. The job paid only minimum wage, but it was enough to make sure we could keep our home.
No one should work full time and live in poverty. --snip--
When I think about the minimum wage, I think about my mom and what she did for us. And then I think about the 17 million kids whose moms or dads could do more for their families, if they just had a fighting chance. /barf

Cherokee Nation the movie.
Why is she so stingy?? Does she hate hard-working poor people?? Any decent human knows that the minimum wage should be at least $50/hr!
So why did Warren vote for the Gang of 8 bill that will bring in 33 million permanent legal immigrants over the next decade and double the annual number of guest workers to 1.3 million while 21 million Americans are unemployed or underemployed?
President Featherhead building her platform.
“She went to work answering the phones at Sears. The job paid only minimum wage, but it was enough to make sure we could keep our home.
No one should work full time and live in poverty.”
This is....logic...?
You can work someplace doing menial labor, the state will give you food, housing, medical care, and cash in your pocket. It's the Liberal dream, because they believe in fairness.
I remember when I was young and worked for minimum wage. It was tough earning so little. So I did the unthinkable. I worked hard, learned some skills and took increasingly tougher jobs and earned more. I became more valuable to my bosses, and asked for raises, which they gladly granted to me.
Gosh, now many decades later I learn I went about it the wrong way. I could have sat on my ass and waited for government to force employers to give me more. /s
Dear Paleface Lizzy: You are a proven liar. I don’t believe anything you say or write. You’d tell us you’re related to Jacques Cousteau if you thought flounders could vote.
I want a Pony
Too funny.
300 million reasons not too.
300 million people will pay more for everything, and millions will lose their jobs or how their hours reduced.
More words of idiocy from the Faux Indian of Massataxetts.
At that point, he said that he didn't want to talk about it any more. At which point I asked him if he believed in freedom. He said he did. So I asked him if I should be allowed to purchase any cell phone I wanted. Whether I wanted to pay $600 for the latest state-of-the-art model, or whether I wanted to buy a cheap $10 go phone, it should be my choice. I mean it's my money. I get what I pay for. I should be able to spend it as I please, right? He agreed. So I asked him, if it was OK for cell phones, then why was it not OK for labor? I mean if I need someone to work for me to provide some sort of service, I should be my choice whether I pay that person $600/hr or whether I pay them $10/hr. Right?
Come to find out, he didn't really believe in freedom after all.
FU you moron.
I’ll see your pony and raise you a Daisy Red Ryder BB gun.
Let’s face it. The only people that “work full time and live in poverty” are IDIOTS! BLITHERING MORONS!
Hey Sen. Warren...less than 3% of the workforce earn minimum wage you brain dead embicile.
I have 17 million reasons for wanting to increase the minimum wage. Yes, 17 millionthe number of children whose lives would be a little more secure
Secure how? Because their parents would be on government services, rather than the uncertainty of a job? ...and overlooking the greater mass who would have less security because their future is put on a credit card?
