U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham talks like a conservative but votes like a liberal. Either hes intentionally deceitful or terminally confused, and South Carolina shouldnt tolerate either quality in its senior senator.
Consider the following: Graham supported arming rebels in Syria, some of whom are al-Qaida/Muslim Brotherhood revolutionaries; supports amnesty for illegal aliens but not border control; and supports the National Security Agency spying on American citizens.
In addition, he opposed U.S. Sen. Ted Cruzs courageous filibuster against Obamacare; opposed medical malpractice tort reform; opposed making President Bushs tax cuts permanent; and opposed some conservative judicial nominees.
Where is Grahams self-proclaimed conservatism in any of this?
By any objective measurement, hes one of the most liberal Republican members of the U.S. Senate. This is an embarrassment for deep-red-state South Carolina Republicans. Hed be a fine senator from, say, Maine, but not our consciously conservative state.
Its time for Graham to go. On June 10, Republicans need to support one of the conservative alternatives on the primary ballot.

How is this shameless ball-less RINO stacking up against his primary challengers? What are his odds at being re-elected?
Even though I did ... I sure didn’t need to read any further than the headline.
Amen to that!
Odds are VERY good because the Koch Bros are propping him up. As I just typed in another post, be careful of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”. After the Dims, the Kochs are coming after us.
Amen! ping
Don’t worry, we (SC) will do the WRONG thing and re-elect him again!
Of all the great mysteries of the universe few rank higher than: Graham (R), South Carolina.
This editorial is bogus. It asks people to vote for ONE of his opponents, thus splitting the vote and helping Graham avoid an R-U-N-N-O-F-T. They all need to have a meeting and select one person to run against Graham and beat him outright. It’s time for Solomon wisdom.
Now that's interesting. Do you have a link or something? I'd like to share.
Actually, it's spot on. That's maybe because you don't understand the primary process in SC:
Voters who voted in a party's primary, can vote only in the runoff of the same party. Voters who did not vote in the primary, may vote in either party's runoff.
The primary is for Democratic and Republican candidates only. Candidates running unopposed for their Party's nomination will not appear on primary ballots.
Voters may not vote in a political party's runoff if they voted in another political party's primary. However, voters who did not vote in either politicial party's primary may vote in either politicial party's runoff.
A defeated primary candidate may not actively offer or campaign as a write-in candidate for the ensuing election. The use of posters or stickers on the ballot is not permitted. The voting machine provides for a voter to write-in a candidate. Write-in votes are not allowed in primary elections or the election of President or Vice-president.
While the state permits fusion (a candidate may be nominated by multiple parties), if a candidate runs for and looses a primary (of any party), the candidate cannot appear on the November ballot.
I have a terrible feeling that Linseed and Mitchie will both get re-elected.

Explain the Koch Brothers propping him up?

Muy Interesante -— You attack the Koch brothers who are BIG donors to conservative causes. A quick check of your postings shows a recent post where you state that Ted Cruz is not a leader but simply a “rabble-rouser”. Well, not too many folks here will buy what you are selling since we usually ignore DemocRAT talking points.
But back on topic—LITTLE LINDSEY GRAHAM MUST GO!!!
From leebrightforsenate.com Another Devastating Poll for Establishment Incumbent
There was more bad news for wealthy establishment incumbent Lindsey Graham today, as a recent Winthrop College poll of likely Republican voters has Grahams re-elect numbers in the upcoming primary at only 45%. Incumbents, especially long timers, are in deep trouble anytime their numbers drop below 50. Moreover, in South Carolina, Graham must receive over 50% of the vote in the June 10th Primary to avoid a run-off against the top challenger. A run-off looks very likely now.
Weve believed since entering the race that a run-off was inevitable, said Lee Bright, the upstate Senator who has emerged as the top challenger to Graham according to all of the polls. The conventional wisdom in Washington might not have agreed with us, but weve been confident since day one. Lindsey Grahams polling has consistently declined and is now well below 50 percent. That decline is based on his performance over the last 18 years, and theres nothing he can do in the next few months to put lipstick on that pig of a record.
Communications Director Edmund Wright added, There are two races going on here. One is Lindsey versus fifty, and hes going to lose that one. The other is the challenger primary, and Lee Bright is ahead in that one. We are two for two, and are more confident than ever that we are retiring Graham this year.
Bright will be announcing yet another major endorsement soon.

Or just another RAT Trojan Horse as a few others are.
I thought this was an editorial. I was thinking: “Damn, what a newspaper.” Found out it was a Letter to the Editor.
Dont worry, we (SC) will do the WRONG thing and re-elect him again!

Thanks for the encouragement. We can all give up now, shut down FR and take up playing horse shoes. What’s the use? South Carolina has thrown in the towel; so eff it.
