Yesterday, Ron Woodward of NC Listen reported on a meeting he had with Renee Ellmers on the topic of immigration and amnesty. He claimed he had exited the meeting appalled both by her positions and by her behavior.
One of the constituents attending the meeting recorded the conversation.
The Randolph Tea Party posted the clips online, and exclusively forwarded the links to PJ Media. Four clips of the meeting are embedded below.
At one point, Ellmers says of Woodard: “You don’t have any damn facts.”
Ellmers claims he is stereotyping, and constantly interrupts him. This conduct occurred after she had inconvenienced the group by changing locations at the last minute, refused to let all of the attendees into her office, and insisted she had to be leaving shortly.
Listen to her positions on immigration, and see if they follow her claim that she holds the same positions as Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, and Mike Lee. Yesterday, Lee’s Communication Director Brian Phillips answered her claim with this statement:
Sen. Lee’s position has been very clear: piecemeal legislation, one bill at a time, evaluate and verify each step as we implement the reforms. We have read Rep. Ellmers’ most recent op-ed on reform and it sounds a lot like how the Gang of Eight tried to sell comprehensive immigration reform, something Sen. Lee spent several months last year opposing.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.
Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.
Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

It certainly appears that she has sold out (to her Washington GOPe masters) her conservative “convictions”. And she has thereby betrayed those of us who worked hard for her, voter for her and/or (as is my situation) supported her initial election to Congress by a series of small campaign donations. And, once her “reptillian skin” has been exposed by her open advocacy of the John Boehner/Eric Cantor amnesty she tries to deny it as election time approaches.
She has sold her soul to the Washington DC ruling elite and betrayed the great majority of her constituents. Nothing hurts us worse than betrayal. And Renee Elmers needs to be held to account for this treason. Throw her out in the primary or, if she wins the primary, vote her out in the general election. I never thought that I would reach this last stage, but the constant betrayals have brought me to it.
And become eligible for SS benefits, ACA, etc. The ledger would show a negative number. It already shows one in many categories but SS would be a new one.
As it is now SS taxes are collected on illegal paychecks(the ones at 'legal' jobs) but they aren't eligible for the benefits. A win win and one of the reasons, IMO that both political parties tolerate the illegals.
I'm really disappointed with Renee.

Add her to the list. I have never ever seen politicians during my lifetime selling out to the highest bidder and having no sense common sense or patriotic duty to do what is right as they are now. Obviously they can’t read...read the writing on the wall as to where all this is headed. Maybe Lucifer Obama does have a mind control machine...

Paul's position is different from Cruz's and Lee's. Kinda hard to hold the same position when they aren't the same.

I’ve voted Republican every election I’ve ever had the opportunity since my first vote for Ronald Reagan in 1980. As of right now, I will be voting for Rand Paul in the primaries.
Now, is anybody watching as Aitken and Crisco vie for unseating her and getting that seat back into the Democrat column where it was with Bob Etheridge? This should help them in their assigned task.

I live near the Canadian border, amid a truly remarkable lack of diversity. Illegal immigration is happening somewhere else.
But I do not understand - there is not one, single, coherent, and intellectually satisfying argument for tolerating it - none at all.
The obvious thing to do is to round them all up and send them back. Failing that, the next obvious thing to do is to make their lives as difficult as possible, so they leave on their own.
But what do these Republicans who want to facilitate illegals actually SAY? Do they make an argument without breaking out laughing? If I had to debate this issue, and take the “pro” side, I literally could not think of a single thing to say.
We have huge unemployment. We are going broke. And we have too many parasites. Mass Mestizo immigration makes all these problems radically worse.
What do the Republican proponents of mass low-IQ, low-skill immigration actually say? How do they make the case?
Way up here, I just do not get it.
Not only will I support literally anyone besides him in the primaries, if by some stretch he got the nomination, I would vote for either one of the protest “third party” candidates, or just leave the POTUS vote blank. He’s not a conservative, or a Republican, he’s an old-time Democrat with a bogus party affiliation, same as his old man.
I don’t get excited by any candidates anymore. I’m so jaded that I’m not convinced Cruz isn’t going to turn.
