Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia -- China has new satellite images showing a large object floating in the southern Indian Ocean, and will be sending ships to verify, the Malaysian transport minister said Saturday.
The object is 22.5 meters long and 13 meters wide, (74 feet by 43 feet ), Hishammuddin Hussein announced. He told reporters he'd just gotten the information, and China will release more details in the "coming hours."

“Im sensing a massive class action lawsuit on Malaysia Airlines.”
Maybe, but if there’s any way, the lawyers will be after Boeing, which is where the money is.
“All this lost plane news is is a diversion to keep the feds out of the monitoring of political news business.”
Right on. Past election diversions included OJ Simpson, George Zimmerman... When much diversion is needed an overload of scandals are dumped on us.
Would life rafts be large enough to show up in satalitte pictures?
Does the plane even have life rafts?
There is a lot of stuff floating in the ocean. Could be anything.

13:26: The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (Amsa) has announced that the search for missing flight MH370 has concluded for the day.
“A civil aircraft reported sighting a number of small objects with the naked eye, including a wooden pallet, within a radius of five kilometres,” the agency said.
Does anyone have a graph of the 8 Boeing/Inmarsat arcs???
This is the only one I have seen thus far:

Thanks maggie — that helps — you are always a good finder
Of all the theories I've heard or read, Gen. McInerney's seems to be the most likely, given our years of experience with allah's fanatical fanclub.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that the airplane is in a hanger somewhere being painted with another airline's colors/paint scheme in preparation for its intended mission.
In the meantime, it's a nice distraction to keep us from paying attention to what the other hand is doing.
People are finally doing the geometry on it!
Well, good! Let the lawyers do their DD. They’ll have a tough time proving Boeing sold a defective product.

I looks like it could be a catamaran to me, about the right dimensions for it.
Really, really dangerous waters for a catamaran, but perhaps it’s one that got away from it’s owner and floated there.
Looks good! Thanks for the tip.
It’s amazing to be sued on the basis of knowing nothing at all!
