Former Obama White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs appeared on the Meet the Press roundtable Sunday and laid bare truths about Washington, and his former bosss spokesman.
As the shows featured guest, White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer painted a ludicrously optimistic portrait of the 2014 midterm elections for Democrats, stating emphatically, I believe we will keep the Senate.
Later in the show, Gibbs admitted the Democrats could absolutely lose the Senate. He added: If [Obama] doesnt get more involved in raising money and making this a choice, as Dan Pfeiffer said, you lose the Senate. And, if you lose the Senate, turn out the lights because the partys over.

Gibbs isn’t doing his political calculus correctly. The GOP statists will partner with Democrats to keep the Obama dream of crushing America alive.
If Republicans don’t take the senate, it may be lights out for the country.
Hmm. I believe getting the senate frightens the GOP elite more than it frightens anyone.
Watch them sabotage it.
In either case, McCainlindsy will be back benched. They are done. And they should step aside now, with that truth in mind, and allow people in who are up to the task of defending the const-— I mean the task of reading the constitution.
No, the Senate pretty is gone.
2014 is predicted to be a HUGH wave election, no ifs, ands, or buts.
Are you kidding ? Mitch has already signaled a return to old rules and power sharing if the GOP wins
If the GOPe takes the Senate, we will still see appeasement and capitulation in my opinion. The RINO elitists still have control and they will seek any opportunity to snatch a defeat from the jaws of victory.
They would implement an Amnesty for illegals that gives them citizenship; they will offer up some watered down ObamaCare modification that does nothing financially, and they will give Obama everything he wants until he is thrown out of that office and that includes token ‘resistance’ to massive additional expenditures for our entitlement leeches.
Count on it. I’m not gonna vote for a single damned one of them.
Some party. We’ll see what the most powerful branch of government - the media, and if you don’t believe it, ask them - will allow the Senate to do if it does turn Republican.
Not at all. Because the various Congressional staffs and Federal Bureau's are stuffed full of self serving Democrats who will break the law to support bloated, all powerful, Federal expansion. After all, how can you get a raise/promotion if your employer is contracting?
“No, the Senate pretty is gone.”
Even if the GOP takes the senate, and I won’t believe it until I see it, there will still be a lot of seated GOP statists. The GOP statists will help the Dems.
But, I don’t believe the senate will go Republican. November 2012 taught me that Americans are far dumber than I ever imagined they could be.
“Hmm. I believe getting the senate frightens the GOP elite more than it frightens anyone.

I agree. It would be like actually having a job for the Republicans. They prefer to be backbenchers, just saying whatever is being tried is a bad idea.
Dan Pfeiffer? Has that guy ever told the truth in his life?
Just watch as the GOPe & RNC snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
First step for the Republican majority: Ultra-Amnesty Bill
Yet, I do not want to get my hopes up so much. There are dozens of news cycles as well as unexpected, unforeseen events that can ruffle the stats. Not to mention the Repubs' ability to shoot themselves in the foot. On the other hand, I can pray for cold rain on election day.
Too bad we can’t seem to get ourselves back to a presidential election year wave cycle—but we’d best take what we can get.
Yep, there will still be DemoRat shoes for the GOP to shine, and it gives 'em an explanation for being on knee pads in front of DemoRats.
