Barack Obamas presidency will come to an end. The legacy of pain he will leave behind will not -- at least for years to come. He and his fellow Democrats plan to keep their grip on the levers of power-even if they lose control of Congress and the White House. And they will do so with invisible hands gone but not forgotten.
Every first-term president has a single compelling desire: to win a second term. But for Obama and his liberal allies to accomplish a second major goal, to fundamentally transform America, requires more than two terms. Their agenda depends on fundamentally transforming our government and how its vast powers will be deployed.
How was this done?
The trillion-dollar so called stimulus bill was the first major step to vastly increase our spending and deficits. It was a sign of things to come. Budget-breaking binges have followed with no serious efforts to control our massive federal debt. The Democrats have run up more red ink than all previous administrations combined.
The entitlement crisis has been a crisis that has not been allowed to go to waste. Under Obamas feeble economy and sputtering recovery (the weakest in modern history), spending on welfare, food stamps, and disability payments have soared. Hooking people onto the government IV line is an excellent way to increase dependency and the number of future dependable Democrats. It is also an excellent way to bankrupt America.

No, but I did refer to “him” and posted to him. I also happen to agree with him...and with Mark Levin.
Do you get it now, or are you still not paying attention?
You sure do LOL a lot.
It’s obvious you didn’t read my response to him...
Pay attention,please...LOL
So you’re saying you’re agreeing with a guy that wasn’t paying attention, and whose premise was feculent.
What I find midly amusing is you still fail to state why there would not be any dangers in a second CC except to repeat “pay attention.”
Because that’s not what they’re talking about.
You said...
“Because thats not what theyre talking about.”
Maybe, maybe not. However, Occupy Wall Street has also demanded a second CC
The Occupackers?! How much is tea in China?
An Article V Convention of the States, gives state delegations the same power to propose Constitutional Amendments as the Congress, and Congress cannot affect it.
Just like a Congressionally initiated amendment, it still needs the same ratification by the states.
The concept of the amendments are introduced before the Convention convenes, and the US Constitution cannot be replaced.
“We are watching our country go to hell right in front of our eyes.”
Agree.
And doing nothing about it cept bitch. Yes, that includes me. . .”
The effort it will require to take these devils to task, involves a UNION of a grand scale of individuals who are “willing” to fight the “good fight”. The Laws of this land COMPEL us, as our duty, to remove tyrannical govts. This means we, the People, have the POWER of the Laws of this land, to do this. But FIRST, we must REPENT to God as a nation for our rebellious ways so that He may return to us His protection, and that we may return to Him...and away from the world. Otherwise, all else is FUTILE. God has lifted His hand of protection from our nation long ago. Because of this, and the ever-increasing renunciation/rejection OF God in this nation we are left on our own because of man’s desire to serve Satan, instead of God.
Evil truly DOES prevail when good men do nothing. At this time, no truer words could BE spoken.
1) Congress can propose amendments to the Constitution at any time if 2/3 of both houses of Congress agree.
2) A Convention of States can propose amendments if 2/3 of states submit applications for such a convention. These applications must all deal with the same issue (i.e., limiting the power and jurisdiction of the federal government).
Article V gives states the power to call a convention for the purpose of proposing amendments to the Constitution.
A convention of the states can stop the federal spending and debt spree, the power grabs of the federal courts, and other misuses of federal power. The current situation is precisely what the Founders feared, and they gave us a solution we have a duty to use.
After the states propose, debate, and vote upon the proposed amendments, they will be sent to the 50 state legislatures for ratification. Three-quarters of the states must agree in order to ratify.
The fed government is not for the people. The fed government is for itself. It is an entity unto its own and feeds upon the people for its existence. Its only purpose is to exist. It will do anything and everything to exist. In order to exist, it needs to grow. It needs to grow, because to be stagnet means that something else may be growing in its place. Therefore, it grows, as a creature unto itself, without any purpose except to grow. The fed is a creature that is no longer recognizable. It is hideous and ugly, snapping, snarling, mean, and nasty.
In order to grow, it needs to feed upon the people. It eats out the livelihood of the people to grow. It will eat out the people until the people are no more.
This is the fed.
The state is something else. Some states care about its people, some dont. Some states are pair bonding at the hip to the feds and will suck off the people with the feds. And will try to grow like the feds. Some states realize what is happening and do what they can to protect its people and remove the ravenous fed creature from feeding off its people.
There is no hope for the fed to be reformed. It is rabid. States need to protect its people from this hideous deformity. Good Luck!
Democrats and Republicans in the fed can not reform it. No one can.
Yep, America is finished! Been finished for a long time. We still call it America, but it isnt. Do you call a butterfly a caterpillar after the caterpillar has changed to a butterfly? I dont. But in this case, we still call America - America. But it is not America, it is now some weird and hideous metamorphisis.
The media has carried water for our destruction, since the collectivist neurotics captured most of our institutions of "higher education." With the dumbing down of journalism, the sad fact is that most of those active at the Federal level, are simply not intelligent enough--even if not completely corrupted ideolgically--to ever dare to challenge the purveyors of egalitarian rationalizations.
Thus we have the bizarre situation, where those who have the ability to focus the public's attention, have fallen for the Marxist lie that the rich have gotten there by exploiting and holding down the poor; that normal human instincts, propensities, etc., have to be suppressed in the interests of "social justice," world peace, "fairness," etc..
You will never see this lunacy reversed, so long as the false premises go unchallenged.
"Social Justice"--Not Social & Not Just.
William Flax
For over a century now, the Left has studiously worked to undermine the intellectual roots of all our institutions. Unless you are willing to challenge the basic--the completely false--premises of the Left--premises that now control most of our institutions of higher education; you cannot succeed.
On the spiritual, front, just pause and consider how the ACLU had succeeded in dividing the God Fearing from a defense of their traditional values. It is not just the attack on public right to prayer; not just about not displaying religious symbols on public ground.
The blame & envy game, that has been used to promote hatred of those who succeed, by those who fail; as well as hatred of whites by other races; has included the outright denial of any individual's right to actually favor the spiritually directed in employment, or--as in some nauseating recent incidents--the right to not do business with those making a mockery of marriage.
The attacks are all linked to a pervasive--yet demonstrably irrational--acceptance of the idea that the collective has the right & duty to override every other value, in pursuit of an "equality," that simply does not exist in nature. The pursuit of unreality, premised upon a Blame & Envy Cocktail is the single most destructive force undermining social cohesion, stability & good feeling in America.
It is also totally irreconcilable with Liberty.

What I will quickly agree with is...it is both the D’s and R’s who have destroyed this country ahead of what WE haven’t done to stop that. They portray themselves like two dauntless bickerers who are supposed to be supporting the SAME Constitution, and Bill of Rights, yet only play the game of self-destruction with our nation. As though it’s a just another day at the office. So narrow-minded are they, that we have effortlessly become the “out-of-sight, out-of-mind people of this nation. Even so, I don’t feel it’s true that there isn’t anyone who can reform it.
Do you really believe that you are no smarter then they when it comes to turning this ship around in the direction it should go? In fact, that’s exactly what they want us to think, so that we will just GIVE IN, and just “go along to get along”. Personally, I do not share in such a sentiment, and believe we have a DUTY to live up to!
Though as of late, I DO often wonder if the general consensus in this nation is posturing themselves unto destruction. And while YOU may have already summed up America as you have, I will remain with the hope that we WILL at least TRY not to collectively, and so easily give up on the foundation, and purpose of our Constitution.
P.s. I have never met anyone who ever called a butterfly a caterpillar.
Hello ourworldawry,
Thanks for the reply. And I agree with you in general, while in some particulars I think some things need to be thought through (or at least by me.)
While I do believe that the fed is unreformable, I do have hope that in the states we may succeed. For this reason, I don’t and won’t give in.
I see almost everyone referring to the fed and no one never referring back to the states. So I am wondering what will be the role in our states? Our states have some responsibility and authority in relation to us and the feds and I think we should not overlook this. I think we should explore how to make use of them. Each state is currently taking a different attitude towards all of this and some are FOR us, whereas the fed is NOT FOR us.
Anyway, I am trying to explore this and work it out as it relates to using the states. No one has yet wanted to comment on this topic. Oh well, maybe it is a rabbit hole, and I should drop it.

So...what’s your take on why there can be no reform?
Personally, I think WE can either step up to the plate and perform our duty as citizens, or....we can just fling up the white flag. There really are no other choices.
On another thread, someone defined reform as:
"I believe nothing short of removing every elected, appointed, and hired government office holder, official, and worker, will be required to reform the U.S. government. Every single person connected to the federal government, in any way, must be removed from 'service' to excise the rot that infects it."
Ok, I agree that this is needed to have the changes that are necessary.
He then went on to say that this doesn't need to be done via bloodshed, but by "Tens of millions...Overwhelming, unrelenting, overpowering numbers of determined Americans, all showing up and saying, "You're All Fired!" What's needed is a force that is so huge, it cannot be resisted."
So his definition of reformed is ten of millions Americans peaceably demanding and getting every current government person removed/replaced [and rolling back the government to about the 1900s].
I just don't see this happening. I don't see ten of millions Americans in the streets. And I don't see every government person removed/replaced.
You said, " step up to the plate and perform our duty as citizens, or....we can just fling up the white flag". I don't believe we just fling up the white flag. We have a duty to protect our family (physically, spiritually, sexually [no homosexual indoctrination], etc.) When any entity encroaches upon our duty, then we have another duty to ward off that entity.
Two examples to look at: 1) revolutionary war [RW], and 2) civil war [CW]. Regarding RW, for many years, the people petitioned their government, the people did not give in, but they were patient. They did their duty to protect themselves by defending their right to own arms. After the shot heard round the world and a few more altercations the states realized the government was non-reformable and seceded. In CW we have a similar situation. In both cases, notice how the states took responsibility and authority to protect their people.

However, I feel doing things the right way will not be on the minds of many...therefore placing an indelible stain our opportunity to effectively remove the malignancy (by going off the deep end). So this, is really a two-fold experience. We must first wake up the sheep. And THEN, move forward.
IMO, not stepping up to the plate, IS throwing up the white flag. Our duty to God FIRST, will provide the hedge of protection our families will need. He WILL direct us in the way we should go, and the things we should do if we just “listen”.
This, of course doesn’t mean Satan WON’T try to throw fiery dart at us. He WILL. But they can be quelled by our obedience to God. This is an entire country at stake that we are talking about. We have a “power behind the throne” that has been established long before us...nefariously, and selfishly seeking to destroy the God’s creation, which is US...mankind. He too, will destroy his followers, though they must destroy US “first”. So, what I mean about the “white flag” is...by doing anything other than what God commands us to do, we will not attain the victory over our enemies.
We must NEVER forget that God is STILL IN CONTROL, even though He HAS lifted His “Hand of Protection” from America. The sooner America realizes this, the better.
Excellent points!
