Believe it or not, I just sent a note to folks at church about this video. I am going to start a Patriotic Movie and Popcorn night at church.

A Nation Adrift - excellent. It has been out for quite a long time. I saw it when it was first released and bought it so I can own it. I have shown it to many people over the years. I cant recommend it enough. SEE IT.
It needs to be shown in all of our schools. Unfortunately, they’d fire the teacher who dared show it.

I agree that our History needs to be taught and EXPLAINED to the young.
To the young AND to the old as well!
But we increasingly need to get the attention of the UNchurched.
Go into the highways and byways and COMPEL them to come in.

Few people realize that they were chartered in Virginia and intending to go there, more or less blundering into Cape Cod. Virginia had established the House Of Burgesses two years previously, so governance was in place and the dire difficulties of the earliest years from 1607 had been surmounted. Of course, the Second Powhatan War was to come two years later in 1622, with many outlying colonists being wiped out. So, maybe it actually was the hand of providence.
