Piracy and pilot suicide are among the scenarios under study as investigators grow increasingly certain the missing Malaysia Airlines jet changed course and headed west after its last radio contact with air traffic controllers.
The latest evidence suggests the plane didn't experience a catastrophic incident over the South China Sea as was initially suspected. Some experts theorize that one of the pilots, or someone else with flying experience, hijacked the plane or committed suicide by plunging the jet into the sea.

the 1983 Korean Air Lines Flight 007 shoot down...
I always kinda thought they did that to take out
Larry McDonald before he could run for President...
I don’t know but it sounds like someone else other than the pilots were flying the plane when it jump up to 45,000, made the hard west turn, etc... Maybe a hi-jacker with some flying experience had control and thought they had enough fuel to get it across the Indian Ocean. Maybe passengers did not know what was going on at this point. (sleeping?) - Maybe they thought everything was fine or they were scared and trying to figure out how to storm the cockpit for those 3 to 4 hours. Some may have knew during those 3 to 4 hours that they were over water and that there no city lights in view, so they had time to figure out a plan to storm the cockpit.
So the climb to 45,000ft would have been done to cause the Hypoxia?
That was my early theory. Shot down, probably by Malaysia or China.
Just wait until the next one goes missing.
Didnt Flight 93 do the same thing, go to a high altitude and down again so that the passengers would be flying around the plane..or it could have been brought up so that the passengers would not be able to breathe, quick death, no longer a threat to the hijackers..I would also like to know, how far is Pakistan or Iran from this area, could the plane have flown to either location with the amount of fuel it had on board
This explains the climb to 45,000 ft. (as someone said who ever was flying the plane could prepare for the climb) http://www.langleyflyingschool.com/Pages/Human%20Factor—Hypoxia.html
Yes

So they cause everyone on board to die from hypoxia, the cockpit is fine since they have oxygen which can last as long as the plane is in the air, they land it, dump the bodies in some mass grave, and wait for this all to die down, and we shall see the plane again?
It will happen, but not anytime soon, unfortunately the terrorists are smarter than all of us..they know what they are doing..and realistically, they already got(If this is what happened) the plane that they wanted, fill it up with nukes, put a nice paint job on it, new logo, and away it goes
Brain cells are extremely sensitive to a lack of oxygen. Some brain cells start dying less than 5 minutes after their oxygen supply disappears. As a result, brain hypoxia can rapidly cause severe brain damage or death.

I think that too, unless we have a US installation somewhere that is closer for the plane to get to. They likely don't have enough fuel to get to the west coast.
We would have never thought Muslims could come here and spend all the time they did getting ready for 9-11 and actually manage to do it. If they took the present plane to kill some of us, maybe they screwed up and accidentally crashed the plane in the ocean.
What could they have on that plane that would kill thousands of people that would fit in an approved size carry on bag that wouldn't show up going through a scanner? I doubt it would be biological as they likely want a fast, spectacular kill. Chemicals would kill fast but also dilute in the air quickly.
But remember anthrax and ricin poison. “The CDC categorizes ricin as a “Class B” threat, which is the agency's second-highest threat level. It ranks behind anthrax, botulism, plague, smallpox, tularemia and viral hemorrhagic fevers.”
Smallpox would be deadly but not instantly and hemorrhagic fevers would be the same.
We don't know what happened to that plane and maybe terrorists don't have it. One day we will know.
A working 777 that can “become” another flight may be very dangerous indeed.
Think “Doolittle” but amplify by 100 megatons.
Your silly theory, whatever it is, we know that it is based on no hard evidence of any kind, this fantasy says more about you, lots about you, and nothing about this incident, sorry. A good shrink would have a field day with all this paranoid nonsense.
They probably died (passengers) after the 45,000 ft climb. Whoever was flying the plane could put oxygen masks on so that they survive. I am guessing that the hard turn to the west and the uneven climb to 23,000 ft was done by someone flying the plane. The military tracked it on radar flying normally for about 200 miles after this I believe. It could be that maybe some of the crew not in on the hi-jack plot where able to get to oxygen without the hi-jacker pilots knowing it and maybe they finally stormed the cockpit at later time or the plane may have simply ran out of fuel and the hi-jackers thought they had enough fuel to land it on land someplace.
Now, that is quite the insightful observation, one much too troubling for authorities not to take precautions against. Not that it would help prevent another hijacking of this type to occur, but I’m sure government, airline are now meticulously on alert for this.
Good episode.
Where is that plane at cat? Ocean, Land, Twilight Zone?
