White House orders broader Obamacare health plans in 2015
Washington Post ^ | March 14, 2014 | BY JASON MILLMAN

The Obama administration is requiring health plans in Obamacare insurance marketplaces to include a more robust offering of care providers in 2015 after some early backlash over limited networks in the health care law's first year.

Health plans selling on the federal marketplaces in 2015 must include 30 percent of area "essential community providers," which are usually health centers and other hospitals serving mostly low-income patients. That's up from a 20 percent requirement in 2014, the first year of expanded overage under the health care law.

The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which oversees the marketplaces, will also take a much more active role in reviewing health plan networks. CMS, which outlined the new standards in a Friday night letter to insurers, will evaluate whether the plans include enough access to hospitals, primary care doctors, mental health providers and oncologists. The updated standards came after a Friday interview in which President Barack Obama acknowledged that pressure to keep down costs could mean consumers may not have access to their choice of doctor.

“Correction. We don’t have the BALLS to do it in Congress. “

How ignorant are you ? You know we need 2/3 vote in the Senate for a conviction and removal.

Speak for yourself. It’s THE HOUSE that initiates impeachment.

And yes I know it takes 2/3 for the SENATE to convict.

“This would seem to hand a big negotiating advantage to providers.”

Maybe. But when have you ever seen the Obammunists “negotiate” with anyone? Fascists don’t negotiate; all they know how to do is intimidate or make false promises, and I strongly suspect all the crony capitalists who initially helped get obamacare passed are having second and third thoughts about all of the false promises that have already been made to them.

It is the insurance companies that have to negotiate, all the government did was to dictate that networks have to be up to 50% more inclusive. Providers who were too expensive will now have to be included, the exiting providers will be wanting increases too. The spiral accelerates.

Why not abolish Congress? They are nothing more than yes toadies and eunuchs now. As it now stands, we have one Party with no principles or scruples and we have one Party with no spine. And we also have a son of a bitch in the white House that we do not even know what his real name dictating, So, again, what good is Congress?

That was well demonstrated when Bill Clinton wasn’t dragged out of The Oval Office by his collar on live TV, by Americans who really gave a crap, then.

Which may be straw that causes some/many exchange policy providers to exist stage left, as some have already said they may do anyway if they find they have to raise their rates to untenable levels for 2015.

Quite frankly, this is a very odd time to pile onto the existing exchange providers with a requirement like this when so many of the providers are so shaky. Either obama is a complete, blithering idiot or he’s deliberately trying to drive exchange policy providers out of the exchanges. Regardless of rationale, the result is going to be WAY higher premiums and fewer exchange providers, which is going to be a another major backfire for Democrats come November.

You know, I am beginning to suspect that most to almost all Freepers have no idea that impeachment is carried out by the House and the trial must take place in the Senate.

Yes, my point exactly. And yet, they think they're smarter than everyone else.

Impeachment. Way over due.

There are not enough brave souls in Congress to impeach this president. In case you haven't noticed . . . he is black. Which means, NO ONE will vote to impeach.

Yes, of course, this demonstrates that Congress is racist. They treat this black man differently than all the white men before him. This is the very definition of racism.

followed by what? Summary trial for treason would be appropriate. Intentionally failing to inforce any number of laws is treason on its face. Penalty for treason is obvious. The votes would be available in the House as with Clinton. It’s obvious some pressure needs to be applied to produce enough spinal concrete among House membership to get things started. If dingyharry sees that nothing else is coming his way he might go into savehisownbutt mode?

In a sane, honest world, perhaps a trial would occur just as you described, and Obama would be found guilty and removed from office.

Is this a sane, honest world? Heavens NO. There is too much fear and corruption in Washington for a real trial to happen. Please don't respond by saying all that is necessary is the 45 GOP senators to grow a pair of balls. It takes 67 to convict. Ain't gonna happen.

If you mean by ‘black’ a person of African blood I believe you are wrong. There are many ‘dark skinned’ people from all over this world who are not of African blood, I for one from youth through Army service in WWII. I also believe from public information that Obama’s blood line comes from an Indonesian as much as from mother Stanley Ann. Obama’s connection to Kenya is much known by information about his Kenyan surrogate father but his ties to Indonesia are given are not fully disclosed. That could change in the future-the sooner the better.

Keep the word "Impeachment" out there every day until the media HAS to defend it and it becomes the talk of the town across America.
Go sober up Boehner and I'm sure he'll get right on it...

If the Senate switches this year, then it would be a realistic thing to advocate.

Not with a Karl Rove Senate!

That is what they do in Europe, and the doctors earn about 5% more than a janitor or secretary, but everyone in society contributes. Woops, how will the welfare folks like being forced to contribute?
