"The Five" are for legalizing Marijuana
March 13, 2014

Posted on 03/12/2014 3:19:06 PM PDT by NKP_Vet

Was just watching the show and they played a clip of Rick Perry saying that Texas has lowered fines for first time offense for marijuana use. So far he has not said he would legalize it. So the members went around the table and all but Beckel (recovering addict) said they were for legalizing marijuana. Dana Pirino said Texas might as well legalize it because Texans are coming into Colorado to legally smoke the stuff. She also said that if a republican wants to get a hand in an audience full of hipsters all they have to say is they are for legalizing marijuana. Guess that's the in thing now with some of these RINOs. They can all say they are "libertarian" when it comes to frying your brains on dope. So that's Gillfoyle, Pirino, the midget Gutfeld and Mr. Perfect Bohling, all saying they want to see more dope legalized. I'll post the link as soon as it's out. All four of this fakes call themselves conservatives. Prety bad when lefty Bob Beckel take the conservative position on legalizing dope.

Now there you go again, giving us (L) a bad name bringing logic and the Constitution into a (C) argument (note I did not say ‘debate’, that would involve reason/facts instead of emotion and vocal acuity [IE: shouting])

Next you know, you’ll be bringing up ex-cons being Free Citizens again (to vote, self-defense, etc.) and a whole plethora of ‘losertarian’ ideas. I rarely read any reference to the Constitution when these threads for conserving....whatever needs conserving (I still haven’t gotten an answer to that question).

That shouldn't surprise anyone who has seen the show regularly. Bob is a big(and I mean BIG)supporter of Big Government. There's no problem too big or too small that Bob doesn't think "more government" is the answer.

The other members of "The Five" have an "hodge podge" mix of different views on any subject.

Are they for drug testing welfare users? How about heavily taxing legal pot to fund social service agencies like the dept of childrens services cause druggies with children will eventually neglect and harm them.

You do know that Ronald Reagan admitted to smoking marijuana in the 60’s

Source? And please make that a reliable, Conservative source. Leftist and the lamestream media have published scurrilous lies in their unhinged hatred for one of the two best US Presidents of the 20th Century.

Except that when marijuana laws are liberalized, roads get safer. There was a good study posted in one of these threads last month.

Either the pot spokers are drinking less, or staying home to smoke.

Realistically, this should cry out for a state by state choice, so we can learn more realistically whether pot really leads to death on the highway, liberal voting, or police state policies.

Isn’t that the conservative choice?

Does the fact that something might encourage a particular political tendency somehow give the Federal government a right to regulate that thing?

talking about these days . Who grows the majority of the big grows on public lands , mostly National Forests and other remote forest lands in the West today?
So here you are out hunting and you run into a bunch of illegal Mex or Salvadoreans with AK’s . Or whatever they decide to dump in the streams , fungicides , pesticides and what not . And there there is the rat poison they use that kills way more critters than just rats .

you mean like MJ smoking youth totally giving up on combing their hair ? Giving the appearance of being white rasta ropeheads . Long hair is fine , but when it looks like rats are happily nesting in it ? This is a symptom of ganja-itis .
The Gov should not have to regulate it , PEOPLE should have the sense not to do that to their brains and behaviors .

Our ‘liberality ‘ in this way , increasing since the 70’s has given way to an almost total undermining of the America we have known , loved and fought for . How? Why ? pot smoking voters have a lot to do with it . How important is that ?

Cartels bringing in boatloads of highly addictive marijuana. The Netherlands found out that legalization causes huge problems. Not matter what the new libertarian rules are, there will always be organized crime lurking in the shadows.

Yep. In your words, colossal mistake.

“How important is that ?”

If I answer your question, will you promise to actually give me an answer to the one I asked you?

I stumbled across that program years back and once hearing Buckley, watched it as often as I could. He skewers dip$hit Rangel like he should be skewered.

Get enough dope in your system and you won't be standing up for anything.

Think it's good for you? Down a quart of Prestone. Sweet dreams, Toots.

Not sure what you're getting at. Prestone should be illegal?

Anyway, as I said to another Nanny Stater, Marijuana Prohibition is on it's way out. You'll get over it. Or not. I don't care.

Yes, if a particular behavior directly and negatively affects the future of our nation and out people ; absolutely .
To do otherwise is national suicide . You know , like letting the Libs gain so much power in the first place .

Should we tolerate treason ? We do nowadays and look at the results . It’s all part of the plot , to end America as we knew it forever .

“Cartels bringing in boatloads of highly addictive marijuana.”

Ha! Cartels bring in what is called euphemistically “ditch weed”, lower strength product that they make money off by selling in volume. All the higher strength marijuana being sold domestically is grown domestically.

Obesity has known and growing adverse effects on our economy due to the rising costs of health care. Does the Government then have the right to tell us what foods we can eat?

Yes we need a Nanny State to protect us from ourselves. No knocks, asset forfeiture, and the militarization of local police is a small price to pay. No?
