I am shocked at how many supposedly educated Freepers can't deal with the fact that anytime you forgive someone for a crime it is AMNESTY.
Any immigration plan that does not punish illegal aliens for the felonies they have committed for tax evasion or document fraud is Amnesty.
But then I guess you can call it a banana.
I just wish one of the Paulbots would have the courage to call a banana a banana.

I asked you a simple question, do you agree with what Paul said? If not, why not?
Yes, but I categorically disagree with his Amnesty Plan, which is still in effect which goes right back to my earlier statement that Rand Paul is speaking out of both sides of his mouth on the issue of dealing with Illegal Immigration.

"Of course I agree with it. " Great, I do too. Thank you, we are on the same side and I like Cruz too. Either one is fine with me. Rand is not Ron, cut him a little slack, he is a good man.

Please tell me where Rand Paul has said identify thief will not be prosecuted. He said that he wants to legalize and put on a path to citizenship all 12 Million illegal aliens. The only way he can do that is to forgive every one of them for the felonies of identity theft and tax evasion.
Legal immigrants who have been found to have committed these crimes are immediately deported after they serve their jail time. Rand wants to just let them get away with it.
Why can't you just admit that Rand favors AMNESTY?
That is exactly what he is proposing.
What do you call it if it isn't AMNESTY?

Like most supporters of Ron and/or Rand Paul, you purposefully either refuse to acknowledge the failures of the policy positions of the Pauls or are dishonest about them.
Rand, unless he walks back his Amnesty plan, is not being honest with his current statements. See post #156 above for an easy to understand definition of Amnesty.
I, for one, will never vote for Rand Paul until he goes back to his position on Illegal Immigration and Amnesty of 2010.
He made a foolish move trying to buy votes of Hispanics when he put out his Amnesty plan.
He needs to fully walk it back. But I fear he is not courageous enough to do this.

Rand is not Ron, cut him a little slack, he is a good man. But, if you oppose AMNESTY, then he is not your candidate for President.
But then you don't want to admit that Rand is for AMNESTY
What would you call forgiving 12 million felons for their crimes?
You can argue about the merits of Rand Paul's plan, but you can't get away from the FACT that what he is proposing is Amnesty.

I wonder how Paul got such an instant group of such dedicated, passionate supporters.
I hadn’t noticed that he was so awesomely standing out among our conservative possibilities.
I can see him attracting some people, but where does this white hot, angry, passion come from in these often left leaning, anti-Christian, libertarian posters?

"He said that he wants to legalize and put on a path to citizenship all 12 Million illegal aliens." That is a flat out lie. Never has Paul said any such thing. In fact he has repeatedly stated No New Pathway to Citizenship

Felony is a crime! If you are a felon you are not illegible for citizenship! Unless you are granted AMNESTY.
There are at least 12 Million FELONS who, if they are not prosecuted and are not deported will be given AMNESTY.
How about this: I favor AMNESTY for every illegal alien that has been in this country for 5 years that has not committed a single felony.
Everybody else should be jailed and then deported.
How's that for a plan?

In fact he has repeatedly stated No New Pathway to Citizenship The PATHWAY to Citizenship lies in taking any such restrictions to court. There is no way the Supreme Court would allow a law that creates a category of people who are granted permanent residency with no opportunity to apply for citizenship. That would be tantamount to slavery.
Therefore any plan which makes illegal aliens permanent residents IS a PATH TO CITIZENSHIP.
Or are you just too dense to see that?

There you go again, as Ronald Reagan would have said.
No, we do NOT want a nanny government doing what the church does best. No, no, no. An eternity times no.

It’s you who have been looking through the madhouse lens.
There’s things the church does well. Then there are things that governments do well.

Sarah Palin
Q: Should undocumented immigrants all be deported?
A: There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant--......
Q: So you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
A: I do because I understand why people would want to be in America.

And so even she can be portrayed as an “amnestian” even though that would take vastly different shapes depending on the persons.
I think Rand Paul is as logical as any when he says to eliminate the incentive then watch them self deport, amnesty offered or no.
