A bar-hopping Long Island man clobbered from behind by a man in Manhattan may be the latest victim of the coldhearted knockout game.
Kyle Rodgers, 23, had left the Sweet & Vicious bar on Spring St. and was walking to another East Village bar when the assailant rushed up from behind him at 2:25 a.m. Sunday, cops and sources said.

I guess the take away here is to never go anywhere that one cannot be fully armed.
This “knockout game” is pre-planned, first degree murder, and should be punished as such.

Black assault on white, plus the victim had just left the Swtheet and Vithious bar.

Can’t see well and type poorly - fun tho.
Look - it’s not his fault - it’s the fault of the thugs who beat him. What’s next? White people can’t leave their homes after dark?
This is wrong - don’t blame the victim.
I was merely pointing out that one should have the good sense to not expose himself to danger. Here, the guy is out drinking at two o’clock in the morning in a downtown area. What would you expect could happen under those circumstances?
And I’m not putting the major blame on the victim, merely pointing out that one shouldn’t set yourself up for an attack and here he plainly did.
The NAACP fought a move by a map company some years back that wanted to highlight black 'communities'...to safeguard tourists who might accidentally get off the "wrong" interstate exit.. That said I sadly agree with you. It's dangerous for people of all OTHER races to be in black communities at night.
I also regret having to feel this way - as it feels racist. But it's also the truth.
