"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Juxtapose the lack of leadership by Rand Paul on this issue with the Leadership of Ted Cruz.

They are miles apart in terms of leadership and courage.

No it has to be scrapped. You can not fix this Frankenstein's monster.
Yes it's going to cost. A lot. But keeping 0bamacare will cost a lot more.

He is simply stating the obvious. By the time of the next presidential election the health care sector will have completely made itself over to comply with Obamacare. It will be so deeply embedded in the economy we'll have to hack it out one tentacle at a time, like recovering a building from jungle overgrowth.

For those not paying attention, this is why the last presidential election was critical - it was the last chance for a complete repeal. Those who thought not voting for Romney would teach someone a lesson are going to discover the someone was them.

I see no excuse.

This thing is only going to get worse. It should die under its own weight.

What the hell is this clown talking about?

A law that passed by screwing with the house rules, and is only still a law because the really obscene parts of it keep getting illegally deferred so as not to PO the Little People before it’s too late?

Tell this Maroon that every “Republican” in the country should be screaming “Repeal Obamacare” at every campaign stop going into 2014 mid-terms.

And MEANING it.

Jeez, is this crap for real? Huh? We live in Putinville where no matter how bad the laws are, they just don’t go away?

Seeya at the voting booth.

“Republican Sen. Rand Paul says President Barack Obama’s health care law probably can’t be defeated or gotten rid of.”

Bravo Sierra! Folks said the same thing about Prohibition, and it was a damn Constitutional Amendment. It is going to take guts, grit, and a lot of fight; but, it can be ‘gotten rid of’ if folks like Rand Paul find their backbone and take up that fight.
We are not wrong to expect our elected official to do our bidding, represent us wholly and support the principles of the Founders.
Anything less is capitulation to the whims of the socialists, and the demise of the Nation.

If we give the republican the House and Senate, and they don’t repeal this garbage, they then OWN the garbage.

Didn’t think they’d get rid of Prohibition either. Or the Volstead act.

OF COURSE we can get rid of obamacare. We can start by electing people who will do it. And not nominating those who won’t, who don’t know how, or who can’t figure it out. Or who are lacking in courage or motivation.

The real question is… Can we get rid of the Repellican defeatist attitude, dude?

It's like saying we probably can't get rid of stage one cancer on behalf of Americans by surgically removing the malignant tissue (Obamacare law) rapidly!!!
