The job market may have reached a turning point in February when for the first time in nearly four years more of the unemployed found jobs than dropped out of the labor force.
Last month 10.5 million people were unemployed, including 3.8 million who have been out of work for six months or more. But those numbers only count the people who are out of work and still looking for jobs.
Even though February saw more people returning to the labor force, the percent of the population working or looking for work remains near a 30-year low due to millions of dropouts during the recession.

They starve.
But Obama say that don’t matter...bring in more immigrants
They go back to Mom’s house, since apparently we’re “kids” until we’re 27.
I know some who went on 100% disability and now on Social Security.
I know others who had to tap their 401k even with the penalties.
FReep?
And nor do these numbers reflect the millions of Americans doing Mcjobs. That is; part time jobs with no benefits simply because FUBO's economy has shut down full time jobs.
Trump had it right at yesterday's CPAC: The real unemployment figure is 22 percent.
if they starve that means they are selling their EBT cards to buy smokes and drinks
RE: They starve.
Food stamps. They don’t starve.
What do they do? According to the new HOPE n CHANGERS, they become liberated to pursue their new interests in the liberal arts at the expense of the dwindling rest of us.
No remember, they go on Foodstamps. The Obama Administration says Foodstamps boost the economy.
It is all watched via computer with several other donation organizations. People can only come every 2 months and get a donation. That way, everyone gets covered and the same ones do not keep coming every week. They are all put into the computer. You must have some kind of ID so we can put you in and keep up with it. Sometimes you get people who come back before they are suppose to and are desperate. We interview them and then give them a few things. But, we do not give them a full grocery list. We have several stores that donate some of their out of date stock to us. Cereal, stuff like that that can still be eaten past the stock date. It is very sad, that a nation like America, has no jobs for people and that a political party like the stinking Dimocrats use these people as pons to get votes and keep these people starving. Really, in a country like ours, there should be plenty of jobs for people who truly want to work, to earn a living honorably, but this nation has gone to pot and uses people like animals. It makes me sick what this country has become. (And before you reply, yes, I know there are plenty of lazies, etc. out there who won't do what is right).
I will only add that all day on the business channel, CNBC, they’ve been talking about the fact that thousands of jobs go begging because of an enormous shortage of “skilled” labor. Employers can’t find plumbers, electricians, welders or machinists. The Airlines can’t find FAA certified technicians to refurbish airplanes.
There’s a serious problem with training for the jobs that are available.
If you starve in America you are either too lazy to go get food stamps or too stoned to care.
There is a thriving under ground economy were everything is cash or barter.
The dems don’t care. They drop off the rolls of the people looking for work and don’t show up in the numbers broadcast every month.
We pay for them.
We should raise the voting age to 28.
Winner! Winner!
Chicken dinner
Unemployed two years except for a 10 month contract job. I saved every cent, sold my McMansion and downsized into something I could pay cash for. My biggest expense is taxes, diesel, and food. I’m living on savings. I’d like to write for a living. I’ve put six novels on-line. (Here they are, if you’re interested.)
