Simferopol, Ukraine (CNN) -- U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry accused Russia of making up reasons for intervention in Ukraine, saying Tuesday that "not a single piece of credible evidence supports any one of these claims."
"Russia has talked about Russian-speaking citizens being under siege. They're not," he said while on a visit to Kiev.
He condemned what he called Russia's aggression in Crimea and urged the country to withdraw its troops.
"We would like to see this de-escalated. We're not looking for some major confrontation," he said, while still promising sanctions on Russia if it refuses to step back.
Kerry's comments came a few hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin defiantly defended his country's right to intervene in Ukraine.

In my continuing effort to find a silver lining for every cloud, I’ve finally come up with something positive. The old example of incompetence in diplomacy, Neville Chamberlain vs Hitler, has been clearly overused and lost much of its capability to warn modern politicians. Obama/Kerry now gives numerous examples of incompetence and abject failure that will school generations of future students in how not to do things.
“We should sanction Russia with Obamacare.”
Would that be classified as a War Crime under some Geneva agreement?
A bunch of white folks.
SKERRY!
LOL!
RE Kerry or Obozo:
They’re equally despicable. Picture their roles reversed, and the outcome would still be the same.
The GOOD thing to take heart from is that Kerry’s chances of ever sitting in the Oval Office are probably zilch. And every day he’s where he is, it proves it even more.
RE BOL:
Anytime, my friend... humor is one of our greatest strengths. The comedy writes itself with these jasckasses.
But for Ohio, he would have been president.

You are correct in that assessment.
Thanks for the good news below:

“But for Ohio, he would have been president.”
That sent a chill up my back, and I am a very warm blooded critter.
“...But for Ohio, he would have been president....”
But for one more brain cell, he would have been intelligent!!
But for one lousy leftard wealthy socialite, he’d be just another unknown gigolo leftwing traitor who wounded himself!!!
Why not cut out the middle man and send the $1 Billion direct to Moscow?
“...Thanks for the good news below:...”
Brother, we look at the bright side of things wherever we can!!!
The “American Spring” is coming soon, but it’s in November.
The Germans are “HELL NO!” to sanctions. They gave up coal powered Electric plants for ones powered by Russian Natural Gas.
Russia is a HUGE German Trade Partner, and any hiccup in gas supplies as retaliation could wreck the German Economy.
Putin is holding the cards here, and he knows it.
“Kerry stomps his foot. “
Looks like his foot feel asleep...
“I come here today at the instruction of President Obama to make it absolutely clear that the United States would prefer to see this deescalated,” says Kerry. “If Russia does not choose to deescalate, then our partners will have absolutely no choice to to join us and to continue steps to isolate Russia politically, diplomatically, and economically. This is not something we seek to do. This is something Russia’s choices force us to do.”

Kerry: I come here today at the instruction of President Obama to make it absolutely clear that the United States government would rather see this de-escalated. ...
But if Russia does not choose to de-escalate... then our partners will have absolutely no choice but to join us to expand on steps to isolate Russia politically and economically, Kerry says.
LMAO...
Russia is a HUGE German Trade Partner, and any hiccup in gas supplies as retaliation could wreck the German Economy.
Putin is holding the cards here, and he knows it.
He’s only holding the cards because the EU gave them to him. This is short sighted greed from the Germans.
Russian rampant in eastern europe and the end of NATO will have a much bigger effect on the German economy. Germany is a non nuclear state. With no plausible NATO umbrella they can start learning Russian again. Putin won’t be stopping with Ukraine. Or the Baltics. Or Poland.
“This is short sighted greed from the Germans.”
WTF are you talking about?
Germany has no oil and no gas of its own. It HAS to import it. Russia sells, Germany buys. That’s business.
The US have bought Communist Venezuela oil for years. Must one say : “This is short sighted greed from the Americans”?
No, but he compared Putin to Genghis Khan.
The KGB Colonel is doing the One a favor, imo. NO ONE is discussing 0bamaCare.
LMAO...that’s great.....lets do it!!!!
