A man named Webster Lucas is so upset with McDonald's that he has decided to file a lawsuit against them for $1.5 million, but it's not for any reason you could possibly imagine. TMZ reported on Feb. 27, 2014, that the California man is suing McDonald's because they gave him only one napkin with the meal that he ordered and received.
Lucas contacted the general manager via email and said that he was suffering from "undue mental anguish" and that stopped him from going to work. He also says that the general manager tried to make amends by offering him free food at McDonald's, but that wasn't enough.

I_KNEW_IT_WAS_CALIFORNIA_FROM_THE_HEADLINE_PING!
when did he find out? when did he open the bag and see there was only one napkin? beforeor’after he had already’left? was he in anguish b/c he had already left?
....i just can’t take this seriously. may he be the first to be eaten when TSHTF.
Does that mean I can sue them for 2 million for the times they’ve given me no napkins?
He went through the drive-thru (I assume). Parking the car and walking his lazy butt into the store to get napkins out of the dispenser would have caused even more mental anguish.
Loser pays ... then this sort of crap stops ...
My college’s gruel bar used to give two to every customer “as a right”. I suppose the humanities’ guys would have made quite a ruckus had they been given only one. They were silly that way.
That was a more civilized time when people took only what they planned to use.
These days people will grab 4 inches of napkins and 20 ketchup packets for their meal, use 2-3 of each and dump the rest in the trash, negating the profit margin for the meal they purchased.
I ordered a big breakfast from them at a drive thru and after driving off I noticed I was missing the crispy golden hash brown.
Boy did that burn my biscuits. Never thought of suing. I could have been rich!
Undue, indeed!
Thus the constant barrage of the silly MANUFACTURED lawsuits. They'll sue for 1.5 million and be willing to settle for 150K.
A MANUFACTURED payday that is NOT possible normally, without the involvement of a LAWYER.
