DES MOINES, Iowa On Jan. 5, 2012, Paul Valin called the police to report hed found a backpack containing what he believed to be meth-making equipment. That simple act of good citizenship landed his and wife Cindys house on the National Clandestine Laboratory Register, the federal Drug Enforcement Agencys list of meth labs.
The NCLR contains addresses of some locations where law enforcement agencies reported they found chemicals or other items that indicated the presence of either clandestine drug laboratories or dumpsites.
The fact that Valin found the backpack more than 15 miles from his house isnt the sort of thing the DEA or any other division of the Department of Justice would have checked on before publishing his address on the NCLR.
According to the NCLR website: In most cases
the Department has not verified the entry and does not guarantee its accuracy
.The Department does not accept responsibility or liability for damages of any kind resulting from reliance on an entry.
Unlike the DOJ, Paul Valin is willing to accept responsibility. And thats how his trouble started...

“...does not accept responsibility or liability for damages of any kind.”
Maybe this should be the new government motto - who understands the Latin of “E Pluribus Unum”, anyway. And, it would keep the lawyers happy.

I could live with that, if it was the basis for the government withdrawing from about 95% of what it does today.

Zello saves conversations. It sounds vulnerable to spying. Are you sure it is secure?

Paranoid much? I’ve talked to lots of cops in my life. One was a friend of mine. Haven’t been arrested yet.

I guess I should have worded that a little differently. I am probably jumping the gun a little, still in the process of studying it. But my readings of news articles about its use in organizing etc in Venezuela and how much a force it has been against the government make me think that if it sizes up after reading more on it, then we all ought to have it. It's not perfect, but the more avenues of communication we have, the better. I believe there is a reasonable possibility that things could get that ugly in this country if a few certain variables play out. Like a week or two bank holiday, and/or a nationwide EBT shut down for a week or two. Also, You can bet your ass the takers in this country will be using it to make their mischief.

I never give identification information if I call to report a crime in which Im not the victim. If the dispatcher tries to intimate me, I just tell her my report is on their tape recording and that if she fails to act on the information I provided, then its her and her departments problem if the whole thing blows up in their faces because she failed to act. That usually gets a change of attitude real fast, including inquiry as to more details about the crime being reported. (Yes, I know they have caller id, but they still dont know who called from that phone.)
I have a burner phone for such occasions. A burner phone is one of those cheap phones that you can buy from Walmart that can't be linked back to you. And after I make the call, I pull out the battery so the phone can't be tracked by GPS.
And I give the dispatcher a fake name if they ask me for my name. Plus, I throw in a southern accent to make voice recognition difficult.
I do all of this so the bad guys can't find out who I am but it works to keep the LEOs in the dark about my identity.

Cops don’t care if innocent people get convicted. Still counts as a gold star.

Well, since it’s reported that there are 80 million Americass names on the DHS Terrorist List, I suspicion most of us are on it - but no muzzies are because they have been declared not terrorists - only people like returning vets, Christians, Constitutionalists and Tea Party folk. (Wish I was being sarcastic)
I also suspicion that that number pretty much corresponds with the number of ‘group caskets’ now distributed to F EMA camps around the country.
