Rumor has it that hip waders are being brought in by the truckload due to all the impending blood that'll be running in the streets of California if the 9th circus ruling holds. Much like has occurred in other places once the "shall issue" ruling has come in to play. Oh, wait that's what DIDN'T happen.

It will be a more dangerous place for criminals. That includes the politicians that have ruined that state.

Criminals have carried and will continue to carry without approvals, permits and training for years and they’re worried that law abiding citizens might carry too?

Lawmakers should begin looking at other ways to ensure fairness -- and at alternatives for protecting the public if a concealed-weapons permit is available to anyone who passes a background check and takes a safety course.Makes no sense. requiring background checks and safety courses are common infringements -- but that's not enough to satisfy the gunphobes?

In the 70’s I seem to recall many men walking with six shooters on their hips.
Ala Marty Robbins.....
Seemed pretty safe to me and I knew others carried under their clothing.
Didn’t strike me as odd at all and doesn’t concern me in the slightest.
It is thise people, with a criminal intent, who bother me.
That and loud rap music but, Eyez digress.....

More dangerous for whom? Your beloved criminal class? Same ol’ crap, tell the big lie often enough and it becomes perceived as truth. What is a Mercury News, anyway, a Just-Us Department publication?

This one isn’t final. Given it’s the 9th, I fully expect an en banc hearing which may overrule the panel. Stay tuned.

The MSM will NEVER look critically at the stats between conceal carry states and those that ban it. It’s proven to reduce violent crime.

If the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals' recent ruling striking down restrictions on concealed-carry gun permits is allowed to stand, California will become a more dangerous place for Holders People, illegal alien criminals, Knockout gangs, and other Obama voters.

They are far, far more in danger of:
1) being killed by a drunk driving illegal Mexican,
2) robbed by an illegal Mexican,
3) raped by an illegal Mexican,
4) have their identity stolen by an illegal Mexican,
5) have to wait at the emergency room for treatment because of an illegal Mexican,
6) their child’s education suffers because their teachers have to pander to illegal Mexicans’ children in their own language,
7) getting some heretofore extinct disease because of an illegal Mexican,
8) having their vote diluted because of an illegally voting illegal Mexican,
9) having to pay more taxes because of illegal Mexicans illegally and legally receiving entitlements.....
Need I go on?

This sort of legislation really is a slippery slope. The gun owners "compromise" on only a little restriction to keep the noisy happy, and all of a sudden the paradigm changes from doing what they've a specific right to do, to doing what the state allows them to do. At which point it is a natural inclination of the statists and the fearmongers to insist on more, more, more. That is why compromise on the issue is an illusion.
We aren't being "allowed" to do anything. There's no "allow" in this.

the state of Flor took the lea in liberalizing it it in liberalizing it’s gun laws and at that time the left screamed bloody murder, saying that it would transform the the streets of florida into Boot Hill or the OK Corral.
Nothing like that of the sort ever happened.
We are now seeing history repeat itself.
