Protesters have toppled statues of Russian revolutionary leader Vladimir Lenin in various Ukrainian cities.
The latest footage shows protesters destroying statues in Bila Tserkva, Khmelnitsky and Zhytomyr.
When anti-government protests erupted in Kiev in December, protesters toppled a Lenin statue in the Ukrainian capital Kiev.

According to google, the only american media outlet currently reporting on this is the wall street journal. Now I wonder why that is.
They must be crying tears of sandness over this at cnn and msnbc.

I have seen said statue up close.
Considering how big that thing is (more than 20 feet high) and that it’s made of bronze, the amount of dynamite needed to blow it to pieces would also damage businesses and homes around it. It’s located directly in front of a Taco Bell, and any detonation big enough to destroy it would likely take out the front half of the restaurant. Flying shrapnel will also damage houses and apartments nearby.
Not to mention...the area is very well-lit, so anyone trying to destroy it would be immediately noticed.
