Protesters have toppled statues of Russian revolutionary leader Vladimir Lenin in various Ukrainian cities.
The latest footage shows protesters destroying statues in Bila Tserkva, Khmelnitsky and Zhytomyr.
When anti-government protests erupted in Kiev in December, protesters toppled a Lenin statue in the Ukrainian capital Kiev.

Understandable, but they are baiting the wolf and providing reasons for the Eastern regions to organize militias and talk about secession.

Do you means the Lenin statues that stood there when all of Yanukovich’s predecessors were in power, such as Timoshenko as Prime Minister? Does it say why they suddenly started now after 23 years? Just curious.
Don’t know why there starting this only now but I assume Ukies see the Lenin statues as symbols of Russia and Russian power over them. That issue being at the forefront at the moment may be the reason for new interest in destroying them.

While watching the video, I could not help thinking if obama has his way, the iconic statues here like that of Lincoln, would be torn down and replaced with his image.
