There have to be rules for the rule. Is it a penalty if a black calls a black a "n*****"? Can forms of the noun, such as "niggardly" be used? Who knows? Maybe there will be no penalty for saying "you're a niggardly chap".
Why not just issue a dictionary of words that may be spoken on the playing field and in the locker room?
There are people being slaughtered in uprisings all over the world, and some big strong overpaid football jocks can't be called a bad word? Unreal.

Will this rule apply equally to whites and blacks? Or is it only a slur if used by whites?

Wonder if it includes the “____A” word? Like putting “a” at the end of a censored word makes it acceptable.

Too bad Limbaugh didn’t remember that rule a while back.

Why not just call it Sarcastaball?
http://www.southparkstudios.com/full-episodes/s16e08-sarcastaball the guys wear bras and tinfoil hats, use a balloon instead of a ball and give hugs and compliments to the opposing team instead of tackling them.

Sadly, I think that Limbaugh is right. The Wussification of the NFL is going to obliterate fans’ interest in what was a, one time, great game.
This year, the ONLY time I caught a sight of the “Olympics” was if I entered a coffee shop that had a TV on. Who the hell cares?
When a touchdown is called back because the scorer taunted and hurt the feelings of the safety that was out played, a hundred thousand TV sets will be turned off for good. And who will even care?
They are allowing their own demise.

John Wooten, who heads up the Fritz Pollard Alliance which pays attention to diversity in the NFL, says he expects the NFLs competition committee to suggest creating a rule penalizing players who use the N-word. What about the F-word?

What about racial slurs against white players?
I remember a black politician in FL repeatedly calling a white policeman ‘boy’ during a traffic stop in what I felt was an effort to get the policeman to use it back at the black politician so that HE could cry racism.

How will the referee explain this. I can just see a guy saying “He just wasn’t throwing the ball to me enough so I called him niggardly. That penalty was B. S.
