The Federal Communications Commission announced Friday that it was putting on hold a controversial study of American newsrooms, after complaints from Republican lawmakers and media groups that the project was too intrusive.
FCC spokeswoman Shannon Gilson said Chairman Tom Wheeler agreed with critics that some of the study's proposed questions for reporters and news directors "overstepped the bounds of what is required."

Good news.....wonder what the revised survey will look like.
It’s amazing that only one person at the FCC thought this was a really bad idea. Without Pai stepping up and writing the op-ed, the FCC seemed fine with the original study.

I believe the intention is to put a huge bulls-eye on Fox News, El Rushbo, The Great One, etc.
You know, the people that report the TRUTH and the FACTS about what this Tyrant and his Regime is up to.
The Lame Stream Media is already firmly entrenched on the plantation.

You are so right. It frustrates me to no end to hear people say “as long as it keeps me safe” or “ I have nothing to hide”, regarding NSA stuff. And you cannot reason them out of that mindset no matter the logic.

Suppose for a moment that they found out that local TV stations and the small radio stations were mostly left leaning and their study supported forcing more conservative reporting?

I’m sure they have checked with Justice Roberts and he’s
given them a green light. It’s constitutional for the
state to control the media as long as it’s for the common
good.
Is anyone still questioning whether or not this a Coup d’etat?
