A crisis in white masculinity is killing black teenagers and, history says, the violence is likely to continue.
Why are so many white men like Michael Dunn angry?
Dunn, the man found guilty Saturday on three counts of attempted second-degree murder for shooting into a car full of black teenagers at a Jacksonville, Fla., gas station after an argument over loud rap musicbut not convicted of the murder of Jordan Davis, the 17-year-old slain in the incidentprovides some answers. Like Trayvon Martins killer, George Zimmerman, Dunns case represents the rage felt by many angry white men in America.
During his cross-examination on the stand, Dunn admitted to feeling disrespected by a mouthy teenager who ignored his request to turn down the rap crap blasting from a red SUV occupied by Jordan and his friends. In Dunns version of events, Jordan taunted him with racial and gender slurs like cracker and bitch.
Dunn was pushed over the edge by insults and window-rattling music, and what allegedly followed eerily mirrored the 1993 film Falling Down, in which a white-collar worker-turned-vigilante snaps under the pressure of white, middle-class life and strikes back against Latino gangbangers.
Dunn yelled, Youre not going to talk to me that way, according to witness testimony. He grabbed his gun from the glove compartment and fired nine rounds into the side of the teenagers vehicle, killing Jordan. According to Dunn, he fled the scene and spent a sleepless night at a hotel, expecting more gangsters to retaliate against him and his fiancee.
For angry white men like Dunn, Jordan Davis gangsta rap music and Trayvon Martins hoodie symbolize a larger culture war in which putatively wholesome American culture is under siege by blackness.....

Why should whites see blacks’ boxers, when they wear their pants under their GD butts? Why should their have to have their music louder then a jet taking off? Why should blacks have their own TV channel like BET, while we can’t have ‘White Entertainment Television’?

Ubeffinbelievable.
There is no excuse for what Dunn did. None. I don’t care how offended someone is by professional victims, by Obama, by NAACP socialist idiocy, by the profane vulgar lyrics of “rap” music, by them mocking Dunn and insulting him.
There is no conceivable excuse. I don’t care about the histrionics of the professional victim class, either.
The only reasonable response is that one of those kids should have shot this bitter, vitriolic, lying murderous man right between the eyes for the crap he pulled.
Have I been offended by the death in elements of the black culture in America? Sure. Picking a fight with punk hoodlums blasting profane rap while carrying is nothing less than stupid muderous violence.
People exhorting the black community to take out its own trash need to take a long look in the mirror over this one.
Dunn deserves to die on this one. No other way to say it.
Affirmative action has caused many unwarranted degrees to be handed out to unworthy candidates. Obama is the classic example.
Nice and oh so true!
It called having standards.
Probably both
Even Fox, which isn't as egregious as the rest of the MSM, constantly refers to Martin as "unarmed." Irrelevant when he was trying to grab Zimmerman's gun in order to kill him with it.
Why do blacks act badly in public?
It would be interesting to see the statistics for “white offenders” divided up between non-Hispanic whites and Hispanics. The “unknown & other” category is too small for it to include Hispanics, so they are obviously being lumped in the “white” category.
One guy flips out and its a crisis of all white men. Really? Another way to look at this case is a crisis of black male teenagers, who are unwilling to behave civilly in public. Why not turn down the music? Why start with the aggression and insults? Why follow the gangsta lifestyle?
This opening eliminates any credibility this author might have. He is assuming that because Zimmerman is a "white" man and his attacker was black that the killing can only be because of Zimmerman's masculinity problems. Being beaten to death by a black man is something a white man with no questions about his masculinity is required to submit to, I suppose.
Race baiting and campus agitating.
>> WOW! Real Culture!
Probably kept in the archives a worldclass collection of Tijuana bibles and a nearly complete run of High Times.
What happened to the FReeper etiquette and tradition that when someone is asked for a source for a claim made that they provide some kind of response?
He has no data or sources to back up his claim, thus he does not respond.
It seems to be a serious habit with this poster who also has a habit of undercutting or criticizing conservative positions with this kind of made up nonsense.
As Mark Twain said, “There’s white lies, black lies and statistics.” In this case, it is all three.
