a convention for proposing amendments is a federal convention; it is a creature of the states or, more specifically, of the state legislatures. And it is a limited-purpose convention. It is not designed to set up an entirely new constitution or a new form of government. It is designed to operate within the confines of our existing Constitution.
Considering where we are, I have no fear as to where an amendment convention could possibly take us.
