Venezuelan troops fanned out across the capital, Caracas, and other major cities on Thursday after President Nicolás Maduro ordered a military clampdown against deadly unrest that he warned was part of a "fascist" coup plot.
Piles of burning rubbish sat smoking along Caracas' main avenue as troops moved to secure the city following an outbreak of street violence that left three dead on Wednesday. Armed soldiers surrounded government buildings and diverted traffic, while riot troops guarded entrances to the shuttered subway system as residents picked their way through broken glass.

Note how Manduro uses his 'brown suit' civilian thugs against civilians struggling to kick him out of office. This approach helps confuse the issue, leads to spontaneous, killings that can be blamed on the anti-Maduro crowd, and gives him an excuse to insert the military. As long as the military remains loyal to Manduro he will remain in control. If they defect, he will fall like a house of cards.

Things change, things stay the same.. nothing new ..
coups are called elections albeit masking the fact they are nothing more than murderous thugs abusing public trust,, which is worthless in Central and South America these days.

And opposition to communism is always called “fascism”, when in fact there is very little difference between the two as far as the people are concerned.
Libs are always referring to those that resist their policies as “fascists”... like, for wanting people to be responsible for themselves and not live off of the confiscated earnings of others. Yep, that’s “fascist”.

"obama taking notes..."
Obama has been remaking the US military so that if there is any serious domestic unrest and threat that he might be arrested and tried for his many crimes, the military will be prepared to fire on the US citizenry.

“Every man for himself is the situation here in Venezuela. No one knows what is going to happen, so we have to prepare for the worst,” he told The Telegraph.”
When America collapses, it will also be “Every man for himself”, and “no one knows what is going to happen, so we have to prepare for the worse.”
Kart, that is exactly what we have to do now, “prepare for the worst because it will be every man for himself except for those who have prepared and have others with them. If you remember, this sounds like what Selco described in that war. Except for those he had with them, everyone was suspect to be a killer wanting to take what little he and family had.
If you broadcast to your neighbors what you have, they will come after it, killing you and yours because that means more for them.

Homeland Security has 70,000 agents authorized to carry arms. They have recently submitted massive ammunition buys for "training purposes." Obama's threat to form a "civilian security force" that would rival the uniformed services is proceeding apace.

What I’m wondering is... would we protest here?
Would we go out en masse armed only with signs?
Or would we do something more coordinated and... substantial?
