And the imbecile mayor, via his brain dead schools Chancellor, has just announced that city schools will be open Thursday, so that teachers and students can travel in what the National Weather Service has termed “treacherous” travel conditions in order to reach schools where less than 50% of the students will show up. Just proving that the NYC schools system is just a big babysitting service and place for illegals to hang out.
As much as I absolutely hate precipitation, I’d prefer it to stay snow for the whole time, because first getting that, then warming for rain, then freezing again for snow will shut down the city. Most, if not all roads would become impassable.
No offense, New Yorkers but those of us in Michigan are glad we dodged the bullet on this one. We’re way over our quota for this winter anyways.
CC
Nor’easter!
Is ManBearPig invited to the festivities?
OH NOES!
GLOBAL COOLING!
The NSA must have tweaked our Computer Weather Models!
I guess we Southerners can make fun of the Northerners that have made fun of us and our recent experience with ice and snow-—sorry for the intelligent New York preppers who know better and are calling foul on their “leaders”;
but, not a drop of sympathy for the libs in the city that will depend on the gubmint for any help.
Riders on the storm.
Preppers PING!!
New flash - it’s winter!
May be God is angry at Northeast liberals for pushing MAN MADE global warming.
Do your own due diligence.
Look at the Radar.

NJ and LI are bookends to Manhattan for this storm.
Also, the one in Minne right now is what is going to hit Chi/Mil/Det tomorrow and then (maybe) NYC-area.
So tha mayor dictates that children must go to school, not for education but for food.
When will tha mayor dictate to the Sanitation workers to pick up the garbage which has not been picked up in two weeks? Is he waiting for the snow to cover it?
The garbage is taking up the space on the sidewalks when snow would be shoveled. This is going to be a fine mess.
Oh wait, maybe he intends not to have certain areas plowed again.
NYC on the verge of victimization...again.
Who cares, the rest of the Country moves on. Not everything revolves around the frackin east coast!
Yeah well this person in NJ is up to 8 inches of snow with one inch of ice on top of it, and counting.
Just glad my school closed today and I can stay home. I have 4-wheel drive, but not everyone else does. I’m more afraid of someone hitting me then anything else.
Connect drivers might not be as bad as NJ or NY drivers, but they don’t call it the tristate area for nothing. :-)
Once again, as it has become the norm, the more-important NorthEast, (woe is I), is under threat of winter weather, no different than any other winter weather, that I experienced in the first 19 years of my life, or during the timeframe of 1985 to 1994, to include a crazyman shooting his victims on a Long Island commuter train, on the cusp of the 1993 blizzard.
Ho-hum, weather channel, ho-hum.
