Erika Harold, who was crowned Miss America in 2003, announced last summer that she would be running for the Republican nomination for Illinois’s thirteenth Congressional district. As Miss America, she spent her reign promoting her messages of bullying prevention and abstinence. If elected, she would become the first female African-American Republican in Congress.
“If Mia Love wins her race there will be two black Republican women in Congress.”
As of today, no RAT has filed for that district. My guess is that the RAT Party knows that there’s no chance to win it so they are not going to bankroll a looser. Mia will win! The only bothersome thing is that she’s using Urine Hatch’s campaign organization.

That would be grand. I think we need to let the country know there are three black Republican women running for Congress this year. We each need to do what we can to get the word out.

Has Pete Sessions been selling out the GOP lately - or is Pierson’s campaign more the case of her trying to get name ID for some future race or business venture?
If she gets the nomination. The Republican incumbant will be taking a crack at her first. The Democrats will rip up anything that's left, assuming she wins.

And there’s nothing Dems fear more. Blacks have more in common with the average FReeper, than the average Democrat. Show them how you’ll improve their lives and black voters will come round to the Party of Lincoln.
