Former U.S. Army 1st Lt. Michael Behenna has won parole and will be released from Fort Leavenworth on March 14, his mother, Vicki Behenna, said Wednesday.
Behenna, who was convicted of unpremeditated murder in a combat zone, learned early Wednesday morning and called his parents in Edmond, where he will return next month. We go between tears and laughing, Vicki Behenna told The Oklahoman. Im just so thankful. Im just so very very thankful. Its wonderful.
Thanks, I’ve been on the defendmichael email list and it’s been really discouraging to see his legal team lose every appeal despite what seems to me to be a gross violation of the rules of legal procedure and evidence. I’m on Homer Simpson’s ping list for WWII 70 years ago by day and I’m sure glad we didn’t have a bunch of people trying to throw our boys in prison for doing their jobs back then.
Wow...great news. Thanks for the information, Saoirise!
Thankful to the Lord for this Wonderful News.
