The wide variety of potential candidates for the Republican presidential nomination boils down to one question in many quarters — which one can beat Hillary Clinton?
But to at least one powerful Republican consultant, Mary Matalin, the "Hillary" question is pointless.
"Hillary Clinton’s lead is ephemeral," Matalin told Politico Magazine. "As soon as she gets in, if she gets in, she will be challenged and it will evaporate. Just the nature of the beast. I predict she doesn’t run."

Political consultant and media strategist Mark McKinnon predicts a "Clash of the Titans" battle between Clinton and Bush for the White House in 2016.
"Jeb Bush is the sort of pragmatic, common-sense and compassionate conservative Republicans need to win back the White House," said McKinnon. "He’d attract Hispanics and likely win the key electoral prize of his home state, Florida. And he has a great record to run on, including some innovative, forward-thinking strategies like early childhood investment. Florida leads the country in the number of four-year olds in literacy programs—over 70 percent, and Jeb did it without increasing taxes."
McKinnon said he is not worried about either Bush or Clinton being too familiar for voters to choose....

WIKI Hollywood multi-billionaire, openly-gay David Geffen was an early supporter and raised $1.3 million for Obama in a star-studded Beverly Hills fundraiser.

Al Sharpton could choose Charlie Manson as his running mate and still win. Instead, the Democrats are going to run Joe Biden and Michelle Obama. Joe's infected hair plugs will take him out right after inauguration, making Michelle POTUS.
This after Barry and Reggie come out of the closet during the election to get Michelle the female "sympathy" vote. That, and the Negroes, ought to do it, with the rest of Obama's base in the LGBT community, the Jewish, illegal Latino aliens, and Muslim vote thrown in. If there's any problem, the Democrats can always create new voters as needed on the computer.

Elaborate on that a bit if you will, I haven’t heard that before.
Smack in the middle of the '92 campaign, Little Mary and Snakehead became involved in a very torid, very noisy, and very public affair. (Carville couldn't keep his mouth shut about it.) No doubt in my mind ... and I was working my ass off on that campaign ... that she was downloading stuff to Snakehead.
The "enemy had our plans" sort of scenario. It happened again when GW was running. Mary was still on the scene as Karl "The Architect" Rove used a Democrat-run ad agency to make GW's commercials, which would have been an embarrassment to a used car dealer in Hamtramk. The ad agency people of course leaked everything to the Democrats.
The Bushes are weird. They revere Rove as a guru, and think Mary Matalin (Mrs. James Carville) provides them some sort of link to the Catholic working classes ... their answer to Bill O'Reilly ... whom she resembles. She and Snakehead are still married, IIRC, although scientifically assigning any possible progeny to a known species would be difficult.

I do remember that. That provided ample proof, if any more was needed, that Rove and GW were simpletons.
Actually, the problem with the GOP, IMNVHO, is not one of intelligence, but rather one of profound disrespect for the Republican voter. That is, the "normal" "good" "Christian" people of this country and their families, who are the ones who make it all work.
The GOP Establisment realized in the early 1950's that they had the votes of this group come hell or high water. That meant that they could line up at the trough with their buddie across the aisle forever. With safe seats, they were in on all the swag and none of the responsibility.
Well guess what RINO GOP, Eisenhower is dead, and the Democrats have come with both Hell and High Water to wipe you out.
The problem with the country is not the Democrats. The problem is the RINO GOP that enables their lifestyle.
