...Illustrating how testy relations with Washington have become, Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany, earlier the target of American monitoring of her cellphone, issued an unusually sharp statement saying that Ms. Nulands remarks were completely unacceptable....

Of course the New York Times headline attempts to shift the story from a scandal to just an illustration of Euro-American rivalry. But this is indeed a huge scandal within the workings of the incompetent Obama Administration. We have our top-level "diplomats" talking in the tone of high school sophomores while flippantly deciding who needs to be in top positions of the Ukrainian government.
The popular Ukrainian world heavyweight boxing champion/political activist Wladimir Klitschko is insulted and dismissed. Then our "diplomats" dismiss the EU with adolescent profanity.

Given a choice between the U.N. or the EU, I’d definitely stick with the EU. The U.N. is a circus made up of a bunch of freaky America haters. Kind of like Washington D.C.

At the very least, Nuland and the rest need remedial courses in diplomacy 101, including the given that phone conversations are not “private”...

Haynes won’t call himself a member of the tea party, but says he shares many of the same values they do.
I do not think most Obama foreign policy appointees from Kerry on down bring intensity to their work. Of course considering their Leftist outlook it is probably good that they do not work harder.

I do not like the EU or the UN but you're right...the UN is more dependably short-sighted and Leftist. The protestors want to move closer to the EU to help insure it does not get sucked back into the Russian monolith.

The US is approaching the pinnacle of DemoRat diplomacy.
The strategy is to get the opposition to laugh themselves to death.

We’re best off with them just filling the positions and doing nothing, since they obviously have no idea what they are supposed to be doing-they even screw up a simple phone call.

I guess that’s it. Rush always wonders what it takes to get fired from the Obama Administration and now Nuland is another example of a nitwit who is likely to keep right on the comedic trail.

Of course Rush is more accurate, his analysis is always above excellent.
Truthfully, DemoRat diplomacy simply makes no sense whatsoever, and "nonexistent" seems to be the proper descriptor.

Obama better not piss off the Germans. Imagine if they demand all their gold back, all at once. Wait a minute...

Yes, and furthermore you have a great tagline.

Your link is great...it is painful to listen to Ms. Bradley Bell as well as Tsunis. I can’t believe McCain said “great answer” to her ramblings filled with “umm” and platitudes.

Watch the last 12 seconds.
I think McCain was being entirely sarcastic with his statement.

Okay, but McCain is such a "reach across the aisle" sorta guy that it is tough to know he was being sarcastic. As for Victoria Nuland, she should learn that Klitschko does not appreciate being insulted.

Now Ukrainians have to fight Putin, corrupt government and Obamaoists.
Time to wake up and joining Ukies in fight for freedom and against commie oppression!
Go Klitchko! Go Sarah!!
To: Leo Carpathian
When the Ukrainians need to take to the streets they do it. I'm afraid we're "suffering from the spiritual impotence that comes from a live of ease" as Solzhenitsyn said. But the time will come when we need to DO IT...as Jerry Rubin said.
