Superstorm. Climate Change. And after all that the UK has done to fight global warming, this is the thanks they get.

They will have to tax more and make everyone equal and jail anyone who disagrees... that will solve this problem.

the travesty, the terror of a storm. gee the weather reporters are acting like the world is coming to an end with storms causing winds, flooding and massive amounts of precipitation. you mean Britain has not had any storms before.

Dang. My kid’s supposed to fly into Heathrow tonight. Hopefully the storm will be gone before she gets there.

Your Kid may get diverted to Scotland as the storm will be on all over the weekend.
Scotland is just a 5 hour train ride from London.

Damn...that pic of Cameron bears an eerie resemblance to Mitch McConnell...
This isn't one of those jackass named winter storms that made its way across the Atlantic, is it?

This might not be a case of exaggeration.
Besides being a big storm to begin with, many European countries are used to mild weather and are really not prepared for severe winter conditions.
We in Canada and the northern US can laugh and dismiss it with “oh, a snowstorm, bfd” ‘cuz our cities are ready - experienced teams of snowplows, salt or sand trucks, people who know how to drive in snow/ice, etc. - but in Europe, there’s very little of that. Most houses don’t even have a snowshovel!
When they get hit, it’s a very big deal.

On the bright side; these crashing sea waves should eliminate the triffid problem in coastal areas.

Your Kid may get diverted to Scotland as the storm will be on all over the weekend. Scotland is just a 5 hour train ride from London. Don't say that. She has a connecting flight to Vienna :(
And if you say a train is an alternative...she has to be in class Monday morning...and a train from Glasgow to Vienna would be two days.
So if they divert, I hope they divert to De Gaulle.
