Carbon dating doesn’t work beyond 10’s of thousands of years...
We have a recent example of how the Grand Canyon and its layers formed - the eruption of Mt St Helens gave us a “mini grand canyon” which formed rapidly from layers laid down in the eruption followed by carving out by rapidly moving water.
A similar but larger catastrophic event formed the grand canyon... the Flood, or more accurately, the retreat of the waters after the flood.
Agree.
If God created a tree, and it was cut down immediately, how many rings would it have?
We count them for age, but it would be ‘new’.
Or did he create baby trees to grow up?
The Mt. St Helens sediments are purely volcanic (of course). The Grand Canyon sediments are erosionally generated. Can your mind wrap around that difference -- and in the time difference required to generate them?
Wouldn't be that Yellowstone volcano would it?
