"A similar but larger catastrophic event formed the grand canyon... the Flood, or more accurately, the retreat of the waters after the flood." The Mt. St Helens sediments are purely volcanic (of course). The Grand Canyon sediments are erosionally generated. Can your mind wrap around that difference -- and in the time difference required to generate them?
