House Speaker John A. Boehner scrambled on Wednesday to sell a new debt-ceiling solution to his Republican colleagues, encouraging them to demand a restoration of recently cut military benefits in exchange for a one-year extension of the federal governments borrowing authority.

Outside the House chamber Wednesday night, the plan was gaining momentum, with dozens of GOP members saying they could back it. The benefits for retired military personnel were reduced in last years bipartisan budget agreement, which cut $6 billion in payments to veterans over the next 10 years.

Oh who I hate these vile slime balls, let me count the ways. Everything these scumbags do is planned to make one another look good or bad. They play gams with real peoples lives in turn for votes. There is no death or cost/confinement equal to their evil deeds.
Boner makes a “proposal”. Then he says “No? Then how ‘bout this, Mr. President. No? Uh, I’ll come up with something you’ll like eventually so don’t turn on me.”
