It seems like a lot of people are eager to throw a punch at George Zimmerman.
At least, that's how Celebrity Boxing owner Damon Feldman made it sound when he told CNN that, within an hour of opening applications to challenge Zimmerman, he had more than 8,000 people eager to share the ring.

I have not. I never thought GZ was particularly bright or a conservative hero, but I did think - and still do - that he had the right to defend himself from someone who was beating the tar out of him. Martin could have stopped after the first sucker punch. After that, there was no way for Zimmerman to know if he would be able to walk away from the fight or be crippled for life.
That gave Zimmerman the right to shoot Martin, IMHO.
Once the trial was over, he should have been allowed to get on with his life...but that was never going to happen in modern America. It is a pity, because GZ has enough problems handling normal life that he doesn’t need to deal with all the insanity that came with the trial and its aftermath.
No one will hire him. He’s looking for money and he’s willing to get his butt kicked to get it.
His former martial arts teacher said Z was weak, a lousy puncher and student, and couldn;t fight worth a dern, as they say in some parts of Texas.
To tell you the truth, I was never associated with him, apart from my belief that he acted in the right in the circumstance for which he was prosecuted.
Ironically, Zimmermann was a part of the left that did this to him.

Those people are called racists. Zimmerman was and still is a moron. He's lucky the kid he killed was a thug.
I’ve said this all along - this guy was 100% justified in taking the defensive actions he took on that night, but man, what an idiot.

I remember reading the comments about Zimmerman from the chief of police of some city in which he had applied for a policeman’s position. He said that Zimmerman struck him as a nice person but noted that he was physically weak (I think the word he used was “soft”) and therefore not suited for a position on the force.
If this is true, then Mr. Zimmerman is in for a serious pounding in the ring. He must be truly desperate for money.
He’s an idiot and possibly a thug himself.
I can’t really blame him for trying to make money with this nonsense but it’s unseemly.
At a minimum, Zimmerman has blown his exam on handling fame.
I still agree with the verdict, without question. And I am disgusted with every celebrity that ever donned a Trayvon t-shirt. But Zimmerman is personally a very troubled guy. He hasn’t handled life well since the trial.
Obviously there are more than a few on here where reading comprehension is not their forte.
Everyone who thinks George Zimmerman is in this for the money, read the freaking article again.
This was a malicious prosecution from beginning to end. I love it that Zimmerman continues to stick his finger in the eyes of his detractors.
A couple of things I know: 1) DMX will come to the ring in a gray hoodie, 2) The fight will end at two minutes of the 3rd round when Zimmerman pulls a gun.
